Very Helpful

Hey Thanks a lot,
although I had some issues with some minor things, I managed to change the code a bit. I had the issue, that the import method created false folders because the parameter was not correct, and I had some path issues in the navigator section, because I used your plugin on a windows based OS with Laragon as the env. But I found some quick hacks 🙂
Really needed your solution! Thank you so much! Before that, I tried a different plugin and it didn't work well.

A hard upload limit per file is set by the hosting provider on the webserver. I needed to upload some video files bigger than 128MB. Uploading through FTP was possible but then there is no pointer to the uploaded file. Thank you, this has been a great help to me.
Really good

This extension saved me hours of work and headaches. It allowed me to upload media via FTP to a folder from an earlier date, and all the links were updated with the new media. This kind of task is difficult to do, and plugins that claim to be able to do it don't work; the URLs are only modified virtually.
Changelog
5.2.2 – 2026-09-09
- Security: Fixed a path check bug that could treat folders outside the configured root as allowed when their path only started with the same text as the root (for example /path/app vs /path/app2). Imports and browsing now require the file to actually sit under the root folder.
- Fixed: More consistent root path checks when browsing folders and importing files.
5.2.1 – 2026-07-09
- Fixed: Resolved “Unable to determine root directory” error on hosts where
the default guessed path (home directory) isn’t readable. Plugin now
falls back to ABSPATH and uploads folder automatically. True zero-config.
5.2.0 – 2026-02-27
- Changed: Imports now use default WordPress year/month folder structure (e.g., uploads/2026/02/).
- Fixed: Original file date preserved – images keep their year/month structure based on file modification date.
- Fixed: No unnecessary or empty upload folders created.
- Fixed: WordPress Media Library shows correct path; existing URLs remain unchanged.
- Added:
afsrreloaded_upload_subdirfilter – use empty string for year/month (default), or custom path.
5.1.0 – 2026-02-16
- Fixed: Invalid date folders, empty upload folders no longer created.
- Updated: Imports now go into separate folders with the plugin name.

Some files were skipped for security reasons.
Restricted file types: PHP, PHTML, PHPS, PHT, PHAR, EXE, SH, BAT, CMD. - Updated: Better result messages for folders vs individual files.
