Admin Custom Font plugin allows you to replace default/factory font in WordPress Admin Dashboard with hundreds of different Google Fonts.

Visit Admin Dashboard > Settings > Admin Font to customize font type and styles.

Why This Plugin?

In WordPress version 4.6 a new admin system font change was introduced, moving away from “traditional” Open-Sans font-face type
(introduced back in 3.8). This inspired us to create a simple & powerful Admin Custom Font plugin in order to restore the old look & feel without modifying core files.

Since plugin version 2.4.0 release, you can now choose from the complete list of all Google Fonts, override default font-size and font-weight styles!

Included most popular Google Font types (faces): OpenSans, DroidSans, PT Sans, Roboto, Exo, Play, Lato, Quantico, Orbitron, Maven Pro, fonts designed for specific world languages and more!

In order to streamline and make font selection process more efficient, some 30+ hand-picked, most popular and beautiful Google Fonts are grouped and listed on top of the massive selection list. You should try some of those fonts first, and later explore rest of the available collection.

  1. Download Admin Custom Font plugin
  2. Extract the zipped archive
  3. Upload the directory ‘admin-custom-font` to the ‘wp-content/plugins’ directory of your WordPress installation
  4. Activate the plugin from your WordPress admin ‘Plugins’ page

A simple, one purpose plugin to refresh the admin interface of WordPress.
For those who gives 1 star, read better the description: I think that there's too much people with functional illiteracy that urgently needs support (from a good psychiatrist)

Improved my Admin Dashboard

A few months ago, my Admin Dashboard appeared "wonky". All the columns were compressed, and the font was changed. I was not able to backtrack and try to discover what suddenly changed my Admin Dashboard, although I suspected it was a Gutenberg block. This plugin has improved the appearance of my Admin Dashboard and I use the default Google Open Sans font. Many thanks for your single purpose plugin; they usually serve the WP community much better than the more complicated, error-prone plugins.

Seems useless to me

The only reason I installed this was to 'MAYBE' find a way to set a default font in twenty twelve classic editor, something that should be so SIMPLE AND BASIC so that I don't have to change it with EVERY DAMN PARAGRAPH I WRITE!!!! But I see no way to do that with this plugin so it's useless to me. I tried to choose the font I usually use and it doesn't show up in this plugin's list. When I tried to save what I did set it didn't work.

Nice plugin! Changing the admin font refreshes the look and feel of the dashboard! Feedback: I noticed it doesn't change the Headings; they remain as WordPress default font.

Using Roboto Condensed (for example) give a lot more space. And the font choice is huge, so go for it!
