Advanced Admin Search provides you easy and simplest way to search anything in WordPress admin panel from one single search field.

Why use Advanced Admin Search?

By using this plugin you can quickly search posts, pages, users, custom post types, comments and more from one single search field on WordPress admin bar.
You won’t have to go to each section to search any of this. It will also check for the content of every post to provide you exact results.

Example:
Not sure where you placed the shortcode for third party gallery or appointment plugin?
Simply search the shortcode in search field and it will provide you list of posts/pages or anywhere it is placed.

Dedicated Full Search page of Advanced Admin Search in WordPress admin panel allows you to search:

  3. Posts (and content for shortcodes, links etc)
  4. Pages (and content for shortcodes, links etc)
  5. Custom Post Types
  6. Post Meta
  7. Comments

You can filter the search by:

  1. Keyword (search term)
  2. Post Type
  3. Post Status
  4. Author ID or Username
  5. Meta Filters
  6. Filter by Meta Key
  7. Filter by Meta Value

Redefines your tables styles. Not Good.

Installing this plugin will redefine your table styles, messing up the design of your website. Plugin should not be redefining basic tags like <tr> to support its search results page. I had to uninstall it.

Contains Unnecesary CSS

works well and does what it says, makes meta fields searchable which was great. Unfortunately the CSS file included reformats the look of admin and front end which is annoying and unnecessary and makes my products page messy as all the column widths are changed. i tried to clean it but then gave up and uninstalled to regain the correct display and will look for a better replacement

It works as expected, hence the 5 stars rating. In the wishlist I would like an option to configure or filter where to look, if in pages, posts, sliders, etc. But anyway, it is great.

This plugin is a gem! I am cleaning up a website that was maintained by several people before me, so there are all kinds of things that I wouldn't know to look for in places they shouldn't be. I used this plugin to find the images that had http:// URLs that were not being caught by the SSL content fixer plugin and then globally replaced them with https:// - everything works beautifully now! No more shield-warnings in the browsers! >>> NOTE: Be sure that your SSL compliance is in order BEFORE doing a global replace as described above. I am going to use this plugin to clean up another site that has over 500 images that are difficult to find with media management plugins, etc. Thank you for a good idea plugin!

SFAIK this is the only plugin that will enable me to find a link or a shortcode (etc) in a page/post and then let me open the page/post and edit it. Really handy. It's good to see that the developers have got plans to take it further.
