Description

Created for the Pods bbPress support forums, this plugin sends a notification into your Slack channel of choice whenever a new topic or reply is created in bbPress.

  1. Unpack the entire contents of this plugin zip file into your wp-content/plugins/ folder locally
  2. Upload to your site
  3. Navigate to wp-admin/plugins.php on your site (your WP Admin plugin page)
  4. Activate this plugin

OR you can just install it with WordPress by going to Plugins >> Add New >> and type this plugin\’s name

Setup A New Slack WebHook

  1. Go To https://.slack.com/services/new/incoming-webhook
  2. Create a new webhook
  3. Set a channel to receive the notifications
  4. Copy the URL for the webhook

Setting Up The Plugin

  1. Go to settings->bbPress Slack
  2. Paste the webhook URL into the form.

Integrates bbPress perfectly on MultiSite

I've not been so excited since I installed Pods! 😉

Within 2 minutes, I :

  1. Installed this bbPress Slack Integration plugin.
  2. Set up 2 Slack webhooks.
  3. Posted 2 messages in separate bbPress forums on MultiSite (that's where the time went).
  4. Got both bbPress replies in my Slack account
