Bookares Booking Widget

Bookares is a booking system for holiday homes and rentals. This plugin places your Bookares widget on your
WordPress site: guests see your availability and prices and book directly. Style, languages and prices are set in your
Bookares dashboard; the widget on your site follows them without a plugin update.

Shortcode

• type — search (your account id), calendar or matrix (a calendar id). Required.
• id — the id from your dashboard. Required.
• mode — inline (default) or blank: a button that opens the widget in a new tab.
• lang — auto: the visitor’s browser language when you offer it (Settings > Online > Translation), else your
  default language; or a code such as en.

Every other attribute is passed on as is: the same options as the HTML code (data-…).

External services

This plugin loads the Bookares widget from Bookares’ servers; without them it shows nothing.

• widget.bookares.com — the loader script and the widget itself (in an iframe). Sent: the page address and the
  shortcode’s settings, on every page view with a shortcode.
• api.bookares.com — availability, prices and bookings. Sent: the dates, party and booking details the visitor enters.

Both are served through Cloudflare (IP address and request data, to deliver and secure the service). The widget keeps
its size and the visitor’s last choices in the browser (local storage, page address); it does not track visitors.

1. Install and activate the plugin.
2. In your Bookares dashboard open Widget > Publish > WordPress and copy the shortcode.
3. Paste it on a page, e.g. [bookares type="search" id="ACCOUNT-ID"], and publish.
