Buddy Progress Bar

Description

A BuddyPress plugin that use a point system to display a progress bar or progress percentage for any of completed member’s xprofile fields and/or uploaded custom avatar.

Buddy Progress Bar helps any site administrator to kindly remember his community members to complete their profile in a clear, significant and non-obstrusive way.

A widget is also available, which let you show a progress bar outside of the positions you can activate in the settings.
To get this plugin to work, BuddyPress xprofile component must be active.

Installation

After you’ve downloaded and extracted the files:

Upload the complete ‘buddy-progress-bar’ folder to the ‘/wp-content/plugins/’ directory OR install Buddy Progress Bar via the plugin installer.
Activate the plugin on WordPress ‘Plugins’ page.
On a single install, plugin is in Dashboard > Settings.
On a network install, the plugin is only accessible via the main blog, where BuddyPress is activated. Go to WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Buddy Progress Bar
Go to Buddy Progress Bar settings page and set up your options.
For detailed informations, read About Buddy Progress Bar and the Help tab on Settings page, in the top right screen corner.
Do not forget to attribute a positive value to any field you want to be taken in account by the progression percentage.

The moment I activated it, it caused a fatal error on my site and I had to FTP in to delete the plugin.

Super fonctionnel. Merci ! En revanche, la barre de progression est triste et moche. Préfère une barre flat design, que nous pouvons modifier la couleur. Se serait mieux. Great functional. Thank you ! However, the progress bar is sad and ugly. Prefer a flat bar design, we can change the color. Would be better.

UPDATE: Turns out it is indeed possible to assign different weights to different fields. So, I'm correcting my rating to 5 stars! 🙂

After having done a bit of customization I'm pretty happy with this plugin.

The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because assigning the number of percentage points for each existing profile field is very rudimentary.
I mean, every percentage field gets the same percentage and if, for example, I wanted to assign to one field 15% and to the other 25% (instead of giving both fields 20%) that can't be done with the current version. All fields have to have the same percentage in the current version.

So, it has some room for improvement there.

It's like Ronseal and it does exactly as it says on the tin. The CSS style doesn't play nicely in the header so more options on customisation with where I place this or to correct the spacing issues would be nice. I got round this by editing the plugin and the CSS myself.

Dispite this minor issue it works very well and I am happy to use it. It is fully working with the latest buddypress verson 2.3.4 and WP 4.4 version.
