Bulk post editing allows you to apply actions on a number of selected WordPress posts instead of doing it manually on each post
which could be time consuming particularly if you have a large amount of posts.

However, default bulk editor allows you just to add Categories to Posts.
This plugin extends default Bulk Editor so you can remove Categories from posts.

The plugin works with default Post type, Woocommerce products and any other Custom Post Type. Supports multiple taxonomies per post.

  1. Upload the plugin files to the /wp-content/plugins/plugin-name directory, or install the plugin through the WordPress plugins screen directly.
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ screen in WordPress
  1. Bulk edit posts -> Add to Category.

    Bulk edit posts -> Add to Category.

  2. Bulk edit posts -> Remove from Category.

    Bulk edit posts -> Remove from Category.

Does it work with Woocommerce products

The plugin works with default Post type and Woocommerce products.

Does it work with custom post types

Yes. This plugin works fine with Custom Post Types.

This plugin is perfect if you have hundreds of post that you have imported via JSON or CSV file, and they are all included in a category that you don't want to (such as uncategorized). You can select the bulk ==> edit ==> Remove from category. Very simple but super functional.

No idea why the feature isn't part of the WP core - does exactly what its supposed to do. Moved 80 imported blogs from "uncategorized" to where I needed them to go in a few seconds. Awesome plugin, thank you!

Select more than one post. Select bulk action: edit. Check "remove from category" immediately below the category list and then check the category you want removed. Accept.

Works exactly as stated and adds a functionality that I've needed for years.
