This plugin connects to WhatsApp (wa.me) to facilitate chat. No user data is stored on our servers, but the user’s phone number and message are passed to WhatsApp’s API to initiate the conversation.

  1. Upload the plugin folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory, or install via the WordPress plugin screen.
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ screen in WordPress.
  3. Go to Settings WhatsApp Chat Widget.
  4. Enter your WhatsApp phone number and configure options.
  5. Save changes.

The chat button will appear on the front-end automatically.

Does this plugin require WhatsApp Business?

No. It works with both regular WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business accounts.

What format should I use for the phone number?

Enter your full international number without spaces or special characters.
Example: 919876543210

Does it slow down my website?

No. The plugin is lightweight and only loads assets when a phone number is configured.

Is the plugin mobile responsive?

Yes. The chat button works properly on both desktop and mobile devices.
