Caresort Broken Link Monitor scans your WordPress content for links and checks whether each one still resolves. When it finds a broken link, it’s added to a report inside your dashboard so you can fix, ignore, or remove it.

  1. Upload the caresort-broken-link-monitor folder to /wp-content/plugins/, or upload the zip via Plugins Add New Upload Plugin.
  2. Activate the plugin through the Plugins menu in WordPress.
  3. Go to Broken Links Settings to configure scan frequency, notification email, and what content to scan.
  4. Click Scan Now on the Broken Links report page to run your first scan.
Will this slow down my site?

No. Scans run in the background via WP-Cron (or manually, on demand) and do not affect front-end page load times.

Does it check external links only?

No, it checks both internal and external links found in your scanned content.

Can I exclude certain sites from being checked?

Yes. Add one domain per line to the “Excluded Domains” field under Settings.
