Description

Cartpauj Register Captcha does one simple task. It prevents SPAM signups through WordPress’s default registration form. There are no settings to configure. Just activate and watch those SPAM sign-ups fade away! Requires openssl PHP library.

  1. Upload ‘cartpauj-register-captcha.zip’ to the ‘/wp-content/plugins/’ directory.

  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.

  3. Done!

Doesn't work

I think it used to work, however now it shows the error if you get the captcha wrong, but still registers the user, so it's useless against spam registrations. I say it used to work, as my site didn't get many spam registrations, but recently I got 30 overnight, so I've had to turn registrations off until I get an alternative arranged. I switched it back on to test one more time and instantly got a spam registration, so don't bother installing this any more.

Disappointing, no captcha showing on the standard WP registration form used. 🙁

This plug-in has exactly the features I was looking for. Unfortunately the CAPTCHA image is not displayed, so nobody can register. This makes this plug-in completely useless.

It said it was untested on WordPress 4.5.3 but it's working perfectly. I easily modified the plugin too to increase the size of the image to improve readability. Thank you for making such a simple, functional plugin!
