Cristian Outbound Manager is a lightweight and reliable plugin that automatically handles all outbound/external links on your WordPress site. Improve SEO, security and user experience with zero effort.

Once activated, the plugin scans your post content and applies the attributes you choose:

  • Open external links in a new tab (target="_blank")
  • Add rel="nofollow"
  • Add rel="noopener noreferrer" for security
  • Exclude specific domains from being modified

Perfect for blogs, business sites, affiliate sites, WooCommerce stores and any website that uses outbound links.

This plugin is fully compatible with PHP 7.4 – 8.4.

  1. Upload the plugin files to the /wp-content/plugins/cristian-outbound-manager directory, or install the plugin directly from the WordPress plugin repository.
  2. Activate the plugin through the “Plugins” menu in WordPress.
  3. Go to Settings Outbound Links to configure the plugin.
Does this plugin slow down my website?

No. The plugin processes only the post content and uses efficient DOM parsing. It has no measurable impact on performance.

Can I exclude certain domains?

Yes. You can add any domain (one per line) in the Excluded Domains field.

Does it work with WooCommerce?

Yes. It works with any content that passes through the_content.

Does it modify internal links?

No. Only external/outbound links are modified.

Will there be a Pro version?

Yes. A Pro version with advanced features (statistics, redirects, link checker) is in development.
