Digify Speed Engine is a lightweight, zero-dependency WordPress performance suite designed to optimize Core Web Vitals, boost Google PageSpeed scores, and accelerate WooCommerce checkout flows.

Unlike heavy alternatives, Digify Speed Engine runs 100% locally on your server without relying on external SaaS APIs, third-party subscriptions, or intrusive background processes.

  • Automatic WebP Conversion: Automatically generates lightweight .webp images for all new uploads and intermediary thumbnail sizes using native PHP GD/Imagick.
  • Smart Image Downscaling: Scales down high-resolution camera uploads to a custom maximum width (e.g., 2048px).
  • Native Lazy Loading: Enforces loading="lazy" on all content image tags.
  • WooCommerce Cart Fragments Optimizer: Dequeues the resource-heavy AJAX cart fragment script on non-shop pages (blogs, home, static pages).

  1. Upload the digify-speed-engine folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory, or install the .zip directly via Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
  2. Activate the plugin through the Plugins menu in WordPress.

Does Digify Speed Engine require external API keys?

No. All WebP conversions and optimizations are handled locally by your server.

Does it break WooCommerce cart functionality on shop pages?

No. Cart fragments and commerce assets are preserved on store, cart, and checkout pages.

Can I choose the WebP compression level?

Yes. You can customize the exact compression quality (recommended: 80-85%) in the settings screen.
