Shortcodes

• [dlsm_shows] – Display TV shows grid
• [dlsm_movies] – Display movies grid

Shortcode Attributes

• limit – Number of items (default: 12)
• genre – Filter by genre slug
• category – Filter by category slug
• orderby – date, title, rating, rand
• order – ASC or DESC
• columns – Grid columns (2-6)
• view – grid or list
• search – 1 to show search bar
• featured_slider – 1 shows featured slider above the grid (default). Use 0 to hide.

External services

DL Shows & Movies can embed media from third-party platforms when you add URLs in the admin. No data is sent until a visitor views a page that includes that embed. The visitor’s browser loads the embed directly from the service.

YouTube

Used to play YouTube videos and trailers you provide.
Data: the video ID from your saved URL is requested by the visitor’s browser when the player or trailer is shown.

Used to play Vimeo videos and trailers you provide.
Data: the video ID from your saved URL is requested by the visitor’s browser when the player or trailer is shown.

SoundCloud

Used to play SoundCloud audio you provide.
Data: the track/playlist URL you saved is requested by the visitor’s browser when the audio player is shown.

Spotify

Used to play Spotify content you provide.
Data: the track/album/playlist/show ID from your saved URL is requested by the visitor’s browser when the player is shown.

HLS streams

Used when you provide a direct .m3u8 stream URL. Playback is handled in the visitor’s browser (native HLS or hls.js bundled with this plugin). No third-party SaaS is contacted by the plugin itself beyond the stream host you configure.

1. Upload the dl-shows-movies folder to /wp-content/plugins/
2. Activate the plugin through the Plugins menu
3. Go to DL Shows & Movies in the admin menu to add content
4. Visit Settings -> Permalinks and click Save to refresh URLs
5. Embed content using shortcodes on any page
