Installation

Upload the download-helper folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
Go to the Plugins or Appearance > Themes screen to use the new Download buttons.

Faq

Who can use the download feature?

Only administrators (users with the manage_options capability) can see and use the download buttons.

Where are the ZIP files created?

ZIP files are created on-the-fly and downloaded directly to your computer. No files are left on the server.

What are the requirements?

PHP 5.6 or higher
WordPress 4.0 or higher
PHP ZipArchive extension enabled

How do I use the bulk download feature?

Go to the Plugins or Themes screen
Select multiple items using the checkboxes
Choose “Download Selected” from the Bulk Actions dropdown
Click “Apply” to download all selected items as a single ZIP file
