Easily add post, pages, media links, or custom post types to any frontend menu. Filter dynamic menu items by terms within a specific taxonomy and meta fields. Order dynamic menu items by name, date, or id. Include menu items by all or any one term specified.

Items are saved via WordPresses built in caching system for quicker load times and better user experience.

Installation

Go to Plugins in the Admin menu
Click on the button Add new
Search for Dynamic Menu Items and click ‘Install Now’ or click on the upload link to upload dynamic-menu-items.zip
Click on Activate plugin

How are the dynamic menu items displayed

displaying dynamic menu items is handled by the sites theme. Items are added as a submenu and handled as a default list.

Where does the parent link to

By default the parent menu item links to “#”. This can be changed when admins are building the menu.

Does dynamic menu items work with ACF

Yes, dynamic menu items will utilize the meta fields the same as custom built meta fields and use AFC’s field name as the meta key.
