External services

This plugin connects to an external API in order to validate Bulgarian Personal Identification Numbers (EGN).

• What service is used and why:
  The plugin uses the public API at https://egn.bg to check if an entered Bulgarian Personal Identification Number (EGN) is valid.
  This is necessary for the plugin’s main functionality — validating EGNs directly at the time of input.

• What data is sent and when:
  Every time a user enters an EGN for validation, the plugin sends the provided EGN string to the endpoint:
  https://egn.bg/api/egn/validate
  No data is stored locally in the WordPress database. The EGN is sent only for the purpose of validation and is not retained by the plugin.

• Who provides the service:
  The service is provided by egn.bg.
