The European School Radio Widget Block allows you to integrate the live radio player directly into your WordPress pages, posts, or Block Widget areas (Site Editor) using modern Gutenberg blocks.

Key Features:

    • Variant A (Standard Card): Rich media card with artwork, volume controls, animated soundwaves, live indicator, and “Next On” schedule preview.

  • Streaming Quality Selection: Choose between Low Quality (64Kbps), Medium Quality (128Kbps), and High Quality (320Kbps).
  • Metadata & Customization: Toggle options for “Now Playing” track info and “Next On” upcoming program schedule.

Services

This WordPress Plugin streams live audio from the European School Radio platform via an embedded player widget.

  1. Upload the european-school-radio-widget folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory, or install it directly via the WordPress Plugins menu.
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
  3. Open any Page, Post, or Site Editor and insert the block European School Radio Widget Block.
  4. Customize your settings via the Block Inspector (Style Variant, Streaming Quality, Now Playing, Next On).

Is there any configuration required after activation?

No initial setup is required. Default options (Mini Pill variant and High Quality stream) work out of the box.

Is it multisite compatible?

Yes, it fully supports WordPress Multisite installations.

Does it create or modify database tables?

No, the plugin does not create any additional database tables.

Does it support classic widgets?

Version 3.0.0+ transitions the plugin into a native Gutenberg Block. If you are upgrading from legacy widget versions, please test your layout after updating.
