Installation

Install and activate “Events Calendar for Google” from wordpress directory.
Go to plugin settings and submit google api key and calender id.
Save your settings .
Now implement shortcode [ECFG_calender_events] anywhere in your Website.

Set everything up and it errors out and crashes the page when I add the shortcode

This plugin is absolutely what I needed for my student web, however there are some serious limitations (but I am using the free version).

THE LIMITATIONS
There is no way currently to edit the look of the different grid/list styles other then editing the CSS and also in the EU the DD/MM/YYYY format is often used, but there is no way to change it in the settings other then edit the PHP file itself, this also applies to the short form labels "jan", "feb" instead of "January", "February". And events that last more then 1 day don't show it in the blue box, but only in the description.

THE POSITIVES
Other than that it's the best calendar plugin in WordPress. Responsive design, links to the calendar itself, links to google maps etc. Everything you need in a simple small package, that is highly customisable (if you know your PHPs), modern and clean.

Some enhancements would be welcomed, but this thing does Google calendar syncing amazingly. Thank you for finally bringing sanity to my syncing world.

The basic functions are all I need and I'm very pleased with Events Calendar For Google. There was one bug early on but I think it has since been resolved. The calendar is very eye-catching and allows a viewer to drill down into the details. Thank you to the developers for keeping up with the fixes and the improvements.

Hard to use and sync. Once it works it is great, but it is prone to errors.
