Falang is a multilanguage plugin for WordPress. Falang Q Importer will migrate qTranslate/qTranslateX/qTranslateXT data to the Falang system.
The Locomotive plugin (https://github.com/reaktivstudios/locomotive) needs to be installed first.

Supported languages for migration: English, Italian, French, German, Spanish, Russian, Georgian, Swhahili.
If you need support for other languages, just ask for it.

  1. Backup your database
  2. Make sure to backup your database – changes are irreversible
  3. Install the Locomotive plugin
  4. Install the Falang Q Importer plugin
  5. Deactivate the qTranslate plugin
  6. Check your language configuration in Falang (set the same language and same default language as in qTranslate)
    7.Run batches in “Tools > Batches”

Great help for switching from multilingual plugins

We were using qTranslate-X on a website that was several years old and wanted to revamp it. When looking for a plugin to make the change, we were only convinced to switch to Falang because it had a plugin that made the change automatically.
And it was a good choice, because Falang for WordPress is very similar to other plugins for multilingual websites, but Falang for Divi is an option that makes the translation work much easier if you use Divi.

As I am an inexperienced web developer, this importer was crucial to my successful changeover from QTranslate-X to Falang Multilanguage Plugin. Stéphane from Faboba guided me through the import process with great patience and clear explanations, and the import was successful!!! This can be a stressful process, so I highly recommend this Importer and the team at Faboba. Thank you.

Great! Would love to see more plugins for migration from other plugins. Falang plugins are IMHO one of the best options for multilingual sites in 2020.

easy to use and works fine

I really was concerned because since two years the previous multilingual plugin I used wasn't in maintenance anymore so I couldn't make use of new wordpress block feature in my website which also featured a woocommerce cart with more than one hundred products. I asked the Falang developer if could help me to import my existing database without recreating my website from scratch, so he created this importer and I could migrate seamless my whole previous database and now it works. If do you like can check the truth of my review visiting [link removed by moderator -- please do not add links to your reviews] which make use of this importer and Falang multilingual plugin. I wish that support will be great as it has been hitherto. Thanks Falang for you great work, it solved my big concern.
