Automatic installation (easiest way)

To do an automatic install of this plugin, log in to your WordPress dashboard, navigate to the Plugins menu and click Add New.

In the search field type “Feature Request” and click Search Plugins. Once you have found it you can install it by simply clicking “Install Now”.

Manual installation

Uploading in WordPress Dashboard

  1. Download feature-request.zip
  2. Navigate to the ‘Add New’ in the plugins dashboard
  3. Navigate to the ‘Upload’ area
  4. Select feature-request.zip from your computer
  5. Click ‘Install Now’
  6. Activate the plugin in the Plugin dashboard

Using FTP

  1. Download feature-request.zip
  2. Extract the feature-request directory to your computer
  3. Upload the feature-request directory to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
  4. Activate the plugin in the Plugin dashboard

The WordPress codex contains instructions on how to install a WordPress plugin.

Note: You can’t use the plugin without any groups in this version. So make sure at least one group exists for feature requests.

Doesn't seem to be ready for WordPress 4.9.4

I tried this plugin with the latest verison of WordPress (currently version 4.9.4) and the results were disappointing. On submitting a trial request, unwanted code is returned across the user screen. Also, on requesting to read more, I find that the remaining text does not sit properly within the page design for theme Twenty-Fourteen. If anyone could suggest an alternative up-to-date free plugin that is ready to run with the above theme and version of WordPress, I would be most grateful.

It's a good plugin. But, Revise, Too much bug

It's a good plugin & good idea. But, Revise, Too much bug ! Translation impossible and not taken into account. Voting system, a review. No need to block, number of votes.

Completely broken and unsupported

The description of the plugin is exactly what I would like. I installed the plugin on a test site and did my best to figure out how to get it working. I was able to create groups and assign a certain number of votes in those groups, and all the other functionality in the back end interfaces appears to be there. Unfortunately it just does not work at all. I cannot vote on anything and keep getting the message that I have no more votes in this category even though I have not voted even once. I suspect maybe there needs to be a way to add users to specific groups but I cannot see how to do that. I would add a support request but there are already numerous people with the same error and none of them have gotten any response so unfortunately I must conclude this plugin is "Completely broken and unsupported". I think there is a great gap which this plugin would fill perfectly if it worked. I would even be happy to contribute. Unfortunately, I have no other options but to build something custom.

Ideal if it wasn't so buggy

Many parameters aren't pulling through (tested on WP 4.4.5 and 4.6.1) and thus things like putting the submissions into a pending state don't work and just appear live without approval or disabling the upload option doesn't work. If those sort of things worked out the box, this plugin would be epic.

Looks promising but still buggy

I like the look of this plugin but there are some bugs that need attention:

1. Format problem: http://screencast.com/t/LSKaIjrI

2. Can't get rid of this message: http://screencast.com/t/Bzkan4PiAs

The backend control panel for this plugin is also quote sparse. Need more granular controls. Could use these features, for example:

A) Ability to hide the "status of features" dropdown menu

B) Ability to set one group per page (hide "select group" dropdown menu).

Looking forward to the next update.

compliments for starting this project, full of features (perfect uservoice alternative) and exactly what I needed. So far there was no open-source variant which came close to this - well done!

There are quite some minor typos and spelling mistakes, mainly in backend interface, but still giving 5 stars for this project as it's an early version and already so good. I wanted to help with translation but this plugin is not yet live on your http://translate.averta.net/ page.
