Description

First We Plan is a mortgage and household affordability planner built by Bookrightly. It calculates
deposit, monthly payments, total interest, and loan-to-value, then walks through a full essential vs
optional expense breakdown so visitors get a realistic picture of affordability — not just a mortgage
quote. Includes a downloadable PDF summary. All calculations run in the visitor’s browser.

Add [fwpmp_planner] to any page or post to embed the planner.

Source Code

This plugin’s assets/ files are a built (minified) React application. The complete, human-readable
source — including package.json and the exact build steps — is bundled in this plugin under /source.
To rebuild the assets from source:

cd source && npm install && npm run build

This produces source/dist/assets/*, which is what ships in this plugin’s own /assets folder.

External services

This plugin loads the “Fraunces” display font from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com /
fonts.gstatic.com) when the shortcode is rendered. This is a standard font-CDN request (visitor IP
address and user agent are sent, as with any font request). Google’s terms of service:
https://policies.google.com/terms — privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. No other
external service is called: all mortgage/expense calculations and the PDF export run entirely in the
visitor’s browser, and nothing is sent to this plugin’s author or any third party.

  1. Upload the plugin files to /wp-content/plugins/first-we-plan-mortgage-planner, or install the zip
    directly through the Plugins screen.
  2. Activate the plugin.
  3. Add the [fwpmp_planner] shortcode to any page or post.
Does this send visitor data anywhere?

No. All calculations run client-side in the visitor’s browser; nothing is sent to a server.

Who built this?

Bookrightly (https://www.bookrightly.co.uk).

1.0.3

  • Removed a hidden .gitignore file from the bundled source (WordPress.org disallows hidden files in submitted packages).
  • Updated “Tested up to” to 7.1 per WordPress.org’s automated check.

1.0.2

  • Renamed internal constants, CSS classes/IDs, and the shortcode to a unique fwpmp prefix to avoid collisions with other plugins/themes.
  • Bundled full plugin source under /source for public code review.
  • Removed a dead-code reference to a third-party CDN (cdnjs.cloudflare.com) that shipped inside a bundled library but was never actually called.
  • Documented external service usage (Google Fonts) above.

1.0.1

  • Minor fixes.

1.0.0
