This plugin can be easily installed like any other WordPress integration by following the steps below:

  1. Download and unzip the latest zip file release.
  2. Upload the entire plugin directory to your /wp-content/plugins/ path.
  3. Activate the plugin using the Plugins menu in WordPress sidebar menu.

How can I configure USPS services?

To determine which USPS services should be available for the customers to choose, use the Services: Enable the services custom settings option and select from the Services Table the ones you want to be displayed.

Great Plugin and Amazing Support From Piotrek Bodera

I was experiencing an issue where the shipping cost was not being calculated correctly. I contacted their support team through the form on their website, and their support agent, Piotrek Bodera, reached out to me via email. He was extremely kind and professional. He answered all my queries and successfully resolved my shipping issue.

The problem was that I had enabled the insurance checkbox for international shipping, which was causing an API error. USPS does not allow that insurance option for international shipments, so the API returned an error: “One or more extra services are not available for international pieces in this price group.”

After disabling the insurance option, everything started working perfectly. Thanks to Piotrek Bodera! Their support is truly top-notch.

Love this plugin and the support is stellar. Their latest version even parses nonstandard length fee SKUs from the USPS API, don't know any other plugin that does that, and for us that's a must have. Great plugin and great support!

Wow! Wow! and Wow!!

Jakub at Octolize has an exceptional level of expertise when it comes to WordPress!  His shipping plugin is awesome!! It gives me accurate and shipping prices. I was having a hard time with the change in the API with the USPS and Jakub helped me tremendously!  His knowledge of the subject is deep, precise, and immediately evident in the way he diagnosed and resolved issues. What truly sets him apart, however, is his absolutely stunning customer service. He is responsive, patient, and genuinely invested in helping their customers succeed.  He not only walked me through the problem, but he also took the time to look at the backend of how I set up the USPS and found the error!!  He went above and beyond what he needed to do to make sure this plugin worked with the changes of API in USPS.

Octolize not only identified the root of the problem quickly, but also resolved it efficiently and thoroughly. The relief and gratitude cannot be overstated. I genuinely couldn’t have solved this without his help.

Worked perfectly from the get-go

I always am prepared for some plugins to be a little glitchy at first, but Shipping Live Rates for USPS for WooCommerce worked perfectly after installation. There are ample setup options to fine tune it to my specifications and easy to change if I need to tweak them a little. It's really great having the exact shipping costs, because these turned out to be a lot less than the flat rate costs.

Couldn't get it to work

Woocommerce store owner and sysadmin with many years of experience in both, could not figure out how to get this plugin to work. Documentation they provide on getting a USPS api key is totally incorrect, but I figured out how to anyways. But the plugin was another story.

This plugin seems like it could be awesome, but it isn't.

Works As It Should

This plugin works very well. I don't have much traffic at the moment and try to avoid paying for plugins. If I need to, I will write the code for simple things like using WP hooks or registering endpoints with the REST API. But if there is an option for a free version of a plugin that is actually helpful, it's the obvious choice. The PRO features look great. And if I need them down the road, I will pay for them. But right now, I am happy that the free version works as advertised.

Far too often do I see freemium plugins use trickery to increase paid subscriptions by providing an intentionally buggy and unusable free version. I am happy to say that this is not the case here and it really shows integrity on the developer's part. This made it an easy decision when it came time to looking for a UPS Live Rates plugin.

Fully functional right away!

I love freemium things that are fully functional in the free version, and this is! The paid version definitely adds to its usefulness and I'm sure I'll grow in to needing it. But as a small, self funded start up I need something that works and saves me aggravation and fussing over details so I can do the thing I do.

The dev even took time out to help me set things up properly, thank you!

This experience has made it so I will be happy to upgrade once I've grown in to needing it. I love giving people money who have made my life easier =)

You need USPS API

Be aware you need to contact USPS to get an API. You have to go to the USPS page and scroll down and you'll see a small link that says legacy API, register, then send an email to USPS to request your application status for approval which takes a few days. They'll prompt you for additional information and then after a couple days, you may get approved as long as you provided all of the necessary information.
