How to Get Started

1: Install the Plugin

Install the FraudLabs Pro Fraud Prevention plugin from the WordPress admin area and activate it.

2: Sign Up for a Free Account

Create a free account at https://www.fraudlabspro.com/sign-up to get your API key.

3: Configure the Plugin

Go to the FraudLabs Pro plugin tab, paste in your API key and review other settings.

4: Start Screening Orders Automatically

Once set up, all new orders will be automatically screened and scored by our fraud detection engine.

Installation

Install The FraudLabs Pro Plugin via The Admin Area

Go to Plugins > Add Plugin.
Search for “FraudLabs Pro for WooCommerce”.
Click on the Install Now button for FraudLabs Pro for WooCommerce plugin.
Click on the Activate button.
Done.

Manual Installation (Use this method only if you are unable to install the plugin via the admin area)

Download the plugin zip file.
Unzip and upload the fraudlabs-pro folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
Enter the License Key at the ‘Settings’ section. You can sign up for a free API key at https://www.fraudlabspro.com/sign-up .

How to enable the FraudLabs Pro feature

Click on the FraudLabs Pro menu page.
Check the Enabled check box to enable it.
Enter your FraudLabs Pro API Key. You can sign up for a free API key at https://www.fraudlabspro.com/sign-up.
Click on the Save Settings button.

Blocking fraudulent paypal orders

We offer paypal and stripe methods on our website and fraudlabs pro has been doing it's job in flagging, based on our rules, orders we want to check before proceeding. The SMS extension of fraudlabs pro is pretty clunky and has confused our customers so we've turned that off, but fraudlabs pro is solid and the plugin seems to be getting better over time too.

Excellent plugin for reducing fraudulent checkouts in Woo. We also use this plugin to prevent "scammers" from testing cards at PayPal.

If you are getting fake orders we recommend trying this plugin!

They have a usage-based pricing system, the Free Plan works fine for a lot of our Woo retailers.

The plugin stopped working with HPOS Update.

Easy to implement for a beginner with flexible options for advances users. Free version to start, with plenty of extras, making it a truly scalable solution. Support has been amazing. Some of our queries resulted in new features and plugin versions for the benefit of all users. The plugin has been reliable and stable in the past 4 years. Users need to remember that any anti-fraud system is only as good as the rules created by the user. Raw data is collected and presented in a user-friendly format, but the final decision when to release the order always rests with the user, even if that decision is to automatically release orders that pass all the tests.

False sense of security

Despite all the wild claims, this plug-in just scrapes a bunch of publicly available information from the transaction. It also misses some extremely simple things, like not catching if a zip code does not match the rest of the address. Also fails to properly bring in credit card transaction, such as AVS response codes.

I've only had it installed for 3 weeks, but far as I can tell, it's working beautifully and doing exactly what I need from it. It takes a lot of the legwork out of identifying fraudulent transactions by providing me with details on every order all in one neat report, but the assigned score for each transaction is an amazing, at-a-glance way to identify whether a customer is even slightly suspicious. So far, it's been very accurate and I'm really glad I found it. I would definitely recommend it.

This used to be very reliable, but it's not as good as it used to be. It hasn't blocked a single fraudulent transaction in months and I've had to rely on my own manual checks and intuition.
