This plugin is licensed under the GPLv2 or later.

  1. Upload the plugin files to the /wp-content/plugins/galactic-advanced-converter-webp-only directory, or install the plugin via the WordPress plugin screen.
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
  3. Optionally, adjust the WebP quality using the galactic_image_webp_quality filter.
Does this plugin support converting GIF or BMP images?

No. Currently, it only converts JPEG and PNG images to WebP.

Will it keep the original images?

No. Original JPEG/PNG files are deleted after a successful WebP conversion to reduce disk usage.

What happens if the conversion fails?

If the WebP conversion fails, the original image file will not be deleted.
