First class support

Had a problem with editing my galleries after installing PRO version. I'm a one-man-band without a webmaster. The support provided by Supsystic was exemplary. They stuck at the trouble shooting and eventually asked for access to my Admin. They went in and fixed what had seemed to be an intractable issue. Above and beyond the level of product support you expect these days. Great stuff!

Great product - just what we needed!

I am disappointed with how misleading supsystic has been. I installed the plugin for the free features (in late 2023/early 2024) - there was no mention of them soon transitioning to a paid package.. I chose supsystic specifically as it has a gallery feature which allows clickthrough links - and was free (we are non profit). I spent hours building our gallery, only to have the clickthrough links stop working after a few weeks – because the feature was then blocked behind a paywall. I lodged a complaint at the time and was told I could be given access to the feature for free in exchange for a 5star review - which I submitted (and am now consequently editting). Again, there was no mention that there was a timeline/expiry on the free acess. Low and behold, 12months later, the feature is not working again. Blocked behind a paywall. The click through gallery links is the only feature I needed in the first place. I’m extremely disappointed. If I knew I’d be paying, I could have paid for another plugin to begin with, that had more flexibility and wouldn’t have wasted so much of my time trying to make the plugin suit (requires compressing images and resizing - losing image quality)
Bait and switch

The page "Gallery with Horizontal Scroll" explains nowhere that the Pro edition is needed to replicate all the features. If that had been clear, I might have trialed the Pro edition. But I don't appreciate the bait and switch, and I think it speaks poorly of Supsystic.
Great flexibility and time saving!

I have been using Photo Gallery Pro for a few years now, and have previously and continuously tested several other gallery plugins for WordPress. What makes me choose Photo Gallery Pro is:
Great flexibility and time savings, once you have invested the time to get to know the program.
Especially the image database with the option of bulk updating of image attributes, categorizing images and letting end users use categories to filter the display of images is a great advantage for the user experience. The ability to easily switch between different types of display of image collections and lightbox is of great value.
It broke

I came back to a site I'd made for a client and the gallery no longer worked.
Subtracting features from the free version was a bad idea.

Stopped working

Used to be a great plugin. Stopped working one day. Sad.
Most annoying

The most annoying plugin I have ever installed. All I can see is prompts to purchase the Pro version. I never got to see it working in the demo version because the options are too limited.
Not Fair

It was a great gallery plugin. But breaking it just for charging users without advise is not fair.
I understand developping a plugin is time consuming and everybodies offering a service need a retribution related to it. But can't you make it progressively without taking people in hostage ?
