General Settings

Go to Solid Testimonials Shortcode to create or edit a shortcode. The General Settings tab controls layout, image styles, and display options.

Choose your theme, view type (Grid, Carousel, Masonry, Filter), and adjust image mode, size, and style. Set columns for all devices, toggle designation, company, ratings, and limit text length.

Carousel view offers speed, autoplay, and pause settings, while Filter view lets you edit the “All” label. A live preview updates in real time as you make changes.

Style Settings

In Solid Testimonials Shortcode, open or create a shortcode and go to the Style Settings tab to customize your testimonial design.

Adjust colors for box background, title, text, author info, ratings, and “Read More” links.

For Carousel view, control navigation arrows, dots, their styles, colors, and hover effects.
For Filter view, style filter tabs — choose layouts, colors, backgrounds, and borders for both normal and active states.

Query Settings

In Solid Testimonials Shortcode Query Settings, control which testimonials appear and how they’re ordered.

Set the number of testimonials to display, choose sorting options (ID, Title, Date, Random, Custom), and define order (ASC or DESC). You can also include or exclude authors and categories to fine-tune which testimonials are shown.

To add a testimonial to the plugin, follow these steps:

Go to the WordPress dashboard and navigate to Solid Testimonials > Add New
Fill out the required information, such as Testimonial Title, Details, Reviewer Name, Organization, Designation, Star Ratings, Email, Address, Phone/Mobile, Website URL, & Video URL.
Upload reviewer Image.
Upload Company Logo.
Assign to a specific category.
Add Social Profile Links, such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Google+, YouTube, and their website.
Make sure to include the full URL for each social link, starting with http:// or https://.

What is the recommended dimension for the Author’s image?

For optimal display on various devices, it’s recommended to use an image size of 300px X 300px for the author’s image. WordPress will automatically create different sizes & you can select images size to thumbnail/medium/large when creating a shortcode.

How to display shortcodes in page templates?

You can easily display shortcodes in your page templates using the do_shortcode() function in WordPress. Simply add the following code to your template file:

How many testimonials can I add using the plugin?

There is no limit to the number. You can easily add, edit, delete, organize, and even reorder them with a simple drag-and-drop feature.

How to generate Shortcodes?

To create a new shortcode, go to Solid Testimonials > Shortcodes, and click Create New at the top right corner.
Set your preferred settings for General Settings, Style Settings, and Query Settings.
After giving the shortcode a name, save it.
Simply copy the generated shortcode and paste it wherever you want to display it.

How can I edit, duplicate, or delete a shortcode?

To edit a shortcode, you can change the view, switch on/off controls, change colors, or set a preferred query, and don’t forget to save your changes.

Duplicating a shortcode is easy. You can duplicate any existing or newly created shortcode, including its saved settings. Simply click on the Clone button, and you will receive a notification that the Shortcode Cloned Successfully. The cloned shortcode will be named with a suffix of Cloned like: Shortcode name – Cloned.

Deleting a shortcode is straightforward, but be cautious before hitting the delete button, as it will permanently remove the shortcode.

Beware of Refund Policy!!

Even though the site clearly states "You’re covered by our 7 days money back guarantee" and I requested a refund 1 hour after I realized this plugin would not suit my needs. My refund request was denied. Apparently they only offer refunds if the plugin is broken and they can't fix it. As a developer, I will not be doing business with this company again.

I installed GS Testimonial Lite in TheGem theme using the WPBakery Page Builder. As soon as the plugin was activated, the edit feature of WPBakery stopped working. I contacted support and received a response 7.5 hours later from Sarwar asking for WP access. I sent access and 15 hours later received an email from Sarwar informing me they had fixed the problem by adding a small script to the footer of my website. Needless to say, I am very pleased with their support efforts!

When activated, all JavaScripts on the admin section stop working, I had to disable many plugins to find out this is the faulty one. Also when activated it redirects you from "add plugin page" to its own setting page and some parts of its page also can't load
