  1. Download the hide-admin-bar.zip file to your computer.
  2. Unzip the file.
  3. Upload the hide-admin-bar folder to your /wp-content/plugins/ directory.

My problem was me - after installing BuddyPress - that I had two login options - the wp-one and the BBpress one.

In order not to confuse my new visitors - with that plugin I was able to disable the WordPress-plugin.

#wpadminbar {display:none} works just as well using CSS. I can't believe someone would actually use a plugin for this! LOL

a. I am shocked there isn't more plugins that do this and b. I am even more shocked that less people don't use this one. I tried the PHP approach, and for some reason it just wasn't sticking with my site. Plus - as counterintuitive as this might sound to many/most WP folks- I would rather avoid my own custom code and use a plugin whenever possible. I understand the decay/abandonment risks from plugins...but when that happens I just get a different plugin or whatnot. Anyways, this is great and does what it says it will do.
