ilGhera Contributo RAEE for WooCommerce is the plugin that allows you to easily and automatically manage the RAEE eco-fee in your WooCommerce store, in compliance with Italian regulations (D.Lgs. 49/2014).

Supported RAEE Categories

  • R4 – Small appliances and electronics (small appliances, PCs, phones)
  • R5 – Lighting sources (lamps, fluorescent tubes)

Automatic Installation

  1. Go to Plugins > Add New in the WordPress admin panel
  2. Search for “ilGhera Contributo RAEE for WooCommerce”
  3. Click Install Now and then Activate

Manual Installation

  1. Download the plugin ZIP file
  2. Go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin
  3. Select the ZIP file and click Install Now
  4. Activate the plugin

Configuration

  1. Go to WooCommerce > Contributo RAEE
  2. Configure general settings
  3. Check the preloaded rates
  4. Assign RAEE categories to your products
What is the RAEE eco-fee?

The RAEE eco-fee is a mandatory environmental contribution intended to finance the collection, treatment, and recycling of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). It is required by Italian regulations implementing European directives.

Do I need to show the eco-fee separately?

Yes, according to Italian regulations (D.Lgs. 49/2014), the RAEE eco-fee must be visible and separate from the product price at the time of purchase.

What is 1:1 takeback?

The 1:1 takeback is a consumer right provided by D.Lgs. 49/2014. When purchasing a new electrical appliance, the customer can request free pickup of the old equivalent appliance.

Are the rates already configured?

Yes, the plugin comes with preloaded Erion rates.

Can I set a different rate for a single product?

Yes, in the RAEE tab of the product settings you can enter a custom rate that will override the default category rate.

Is the plugin compatible with HPOS?

Yes, the plugin is fully compatible with WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS).

Can I exclude a product from the eco-fee?

Yes, you can mark a product as “Exempt from eco-fee” in the product settings.
