Description

Connect Contact Form 7 to AWeber and automatically add form subscribers to your AWeber mailing lists using the AWeber API. Choose a list per form, map subscriber fields, and pick the opt-in workflow that fits your audience.

Each Contact Form 7 form can use its own AWeber list and settings, so one WordPress site can feed several lists: a newsletter signup, a lead-capture form, and a contact form can each go to the right place.

AWeber Integration for Contact Form 7

  • Choose an AWeber list per form: send different Contact Form 7 forms to different lists.
  • Map subscriber fields: map the email address, name, and supported AWeber custom fields.
  • Choose single or double opt-in: send subscribers directly, or require the AWeber confirmation email.
  • Add an optional consent checkbox: send data only when the visitor selects the checkbox.
  • Configure inside Contact Form 7: manage credentials, list selection, and field mappings in the form editor.

How do I connect Contact Form 7 to AWeber?

Edit a Contact Form 7 form, open the AWeber tab, and authorize the plugin with your AWeber account. Then choose a mailing list, map the email and subscriber fields, and save. See the authorization guide for the step-by-step process.

Can Contact Form 7 add subscribers to different AWeber lists?

Yes. Each Contact Form 7 form stores its own AWeber list and field-mapping settings, so different forms can feed different lists.

Can I map custom Contact Form 7 fields to AWeber?

Yes. Map supported Contact Form 7 fields to AWeber custom fields to capture more than just email and name.

What is the difference between single and double opt-in?

Single opt-in adds subscribers directly to your list. Double opt-in sends an AWeber confirmation email that the subscriber must click before being added. Double opt-in is recommended for better list quality and consent.

How do I add an opt-in checkbox to my form?

Add an optional checkbox so visitors choose whether to subscribe. See the opt-in checkbox guide for instructions.

The plugin isn’t working. How do I troubleshoot?

First, confirm your AWeber authorization is active and that your form’s email field is mapped. If issues persist, contact us and the developers will help you.

Works perfect!

Plugin Gives Error - Cannot Contact Developer

By slegrand18 on January 4, 2019

I received a few different errors while trying to set this plugin up. I eventually got it to work but now every time I try to edit the actual form, it gives me errors. Tried to contact support and couldn't find an easy way to do this. When I FINALLY found the form to submit my issue, it kept giving me errors when trying to submit it. Finally, I figured out why it kept giving me errors but when I corrected it, the form was stuck in a spinning loop so it was never sent (or it leads me to believe it wasn't sent). I would not recommend wasting time with this plugin unless the developer makes it much easier to contact him. I don't mind going through issues and finding solutions to resolve them, but there needs to be an easy way to contact support.

No Response From Developer, Plugin Not working

By racquetballistuf (trevorali85) on October 5, 2017

I have tried to reach out to the developer several ways but have not heard back. The plugin does not work for me. I'm happy to update my review or even pay for premium support but have not had communication.

Thanks. It's wonderful

By giugiu (giugiu-italia) on March 27, 2017

Great, it works perfectly. wonderful. It took me two days to make it work Because there are no instructions on-site assistance. then I Realized That the problem was because I did not put email subscribers code, That I had to enter the same code what I insert in CF7 form. It works. Thank you.

It's a bit tricky but it works

By OxWeb on November 12, 2016

I like the plugin! I had to connect my client's aweber to contact7 or any other forms. I tried several plugins and they just simply don't work or bring a heavy load to the website. I added Contact form 7 Aweber, then in the contact form itself near additional settings you will see the new Aweber tag, you can connect your aweber account. Then save it and reload the page, then you will see the subscribers list, you can choose one you need. Then you need to save and reload again. You will see the matching fields. I added email and it works.

Why is this plugin available in the plugin repo?

By Gabor Lippert (lunule) on September 3, 2016

1. It doesn't work
2. There's a damn big ZERO plugin documentation
3. Debug messages can not be investigated
4. Support forum is dead
5. UI totally user-unfriendly

These are the reasons why I REALLY don't understand why this plugin is publically available in the plugin repo.

Not mentioning (so let's mention that too) the "Delivered by Mailchimp" stamp on the plugin's CF7 tab, if nothing else, this certainly gave me some WTF moments.
