By using this plugin, you agree to AWeber’s terms of service and privacy policy.

Configuration

After activation, edit any Contact Form 7 form and navigate to the “AWeber” tab to configure your API credentials and select your mailing list.

For detailed setup instructions, visit the documentation.

How do I get my AWeber API credentials?

You’ll need to authorize the plugin with your AWeber account. Visit the AWeber tab in your Contact Form 7 form editor and follow the authorization process. For step-by-step instructions, see our authorization guide.

Can I use different mailing lists for different forms?

Yes, each Contact Form 7 form can be connected to a different AWeber mailing list. Simply configure the AWeber settings individually for each form.

Does this plugin support custom fields?

Yes, you can map your Contact Form 7 fields to AWeber custom fields. This allows you to capture additional subscriber information beyond just email and name.

What is the difference between single and double opt-in?

Single opt-in adds subscribers directly to your list without requiring email confirmation. Double opt-in sends a confirmation email that subscribers must click before being added to your list. Double opt-in is recommended for GDPR compliance and better list quality.

How do I add an opt-in checkbox to my form?

You can add an optional checkbox that allows visitors to choose whether they want to subscribe. See our opt-in checkbox guide for instructions.

The plugin isn’t working. How do I troubleshoot?

First, ensure your AWeber API credentials are correctly configured. Check that your Contact Form 7 form has the email field properly mapped. If issues persist, visit our support page for assistance.

Is this plugin GDPR compliant?

The plugin provides tools to help with GDPR compliance, including an optional opt-in checkbox. However, GDPR compliance depends on how you configure and use the plugin. Consult with a legal professional for specific compliance requirements.

Works perfect!

Plugin Gives Error - Cannot Contact Developer

By slegrand18 on January 4, 2019

I received a few different errors while trying to set this plugin up. I eventually got it to work but now every time I try to edit the actual form, it gives me errors. Tried to contact support and couldn't find an easy way to do this. When I FINALLY found the form to submit my issue, it kept giving me errors when trying to submit it. Finally, I figured out why it kept giving me errors but when I corrected it, the form was stuck in a spinning loop so it was never sent (or it leads me to believe it wasn't sent). I would not recommend wasting time with this plugin unless the developer makes it much easier to contact him. I don't mind going through issues and finding solutions to resolve them, but there needs to be an easy way to contact support.

No Response From Developer, Plugin Not working

By racquetballistuf (trevorali85) on October 5, 2017

I have tried to reach out to the developer several ways but have not heard back. The plugin does not work for me. I'm happy to update my review or even pay for premium support but have not had communication.

Thanks. It's wonderful

By giugiu (giugiu-italia) on March 27, 2017

Great, it works perfectly. wonderful. It took me two days to make it work Because there are no instructions on-site assistance. then I Realized That the problem was because I did not put email subscribers code, That I had to enter the same code what I insert in CF7 form. It works. Thank you.

It's a bit tricky but it works

By OxWeb on November 12, 2016

I like the plugin! I had to connect my client's aweber to contact7 or any other forms. I tried several plugins and they just simply don't work or bring a heavy load to the website. I added Contact form 7 Aweber, then in the contact form itself near additional settings you will see the new Aweber tag, you can connect your aweber account. Then save it and reload the page, then you will see the subscribers list, you can choose one you need. Then you need to save and reload again. You will see the matching fields. I added email and it works.

Why is this plugin available in the plugin repo?

By Gabor Lippert (lunule) on September 3, 2016

1. It doesn't work
2. There's a damn big ZERO plugin documentation
3. Debug messages can not be investigated
4. Support forum is dead
5. UI totally user-unfriendly

These are the reasons why I REALLY don't understand why this plugin is publically available in the plugin repo.

Not mentioning (so let's mention that too) the "Delivered by Mailchimp" stamp on the plugin's CF7 tab, if nothing else, this certainly gave me some WTF moments.
