Jadav Event Schedule is a lightweight event listing plugin for WordPress. It adds a simple event post type with date, time, location, and event URL fields.

Use the [jadav_events] shortcode to display upcoming events on any page or post. Visitors can also download an iCalendar .ics feed for upcoming events.

  1. Upload the plugin files to /wp-content/plugins/jadav-event-schedule/ or install the ZIP through WordPress admin.
  2. Activate the plugin through the Plugins screen.
  3. Add events from Jadav Events in the WordPress admin menu.
  4. Add [jadav_events] to a page or post.
What shortcode should I use?

Use [jadav_events] to show upcoming events.

Can I limit the number of events?

Yes. Use [jadav_events limit="5"].

Can I show past events?

Yes. Use [jadav_events past="yes"].

Does this plugin import events from third-party calendars?

No. This first version focuses on local event creation and an iCalendar export feed.

Does it connect to an external service?

No. The plugin runs locally in WordPress.
