Jibberish123 Popup Migration
Jibberish123 Popup Migration
Description
Preserve existing popup_anything shortcode IDs for verified static link, button and image click popups. Includes read-only preview, per-popup data export, immutable migration snapshots, status, and rollback. Original legacy posts/options/pages are not modified. No tracking or runtime dependencies.
Supported source layouts were verified against 1.9.2.1 and 2.9.1.1. Automatic triggers, Pro layouts, embedded shortcodes/forms/maps, arbitrary CSS, custom selectors and dynamic content are outside this release. Review README.md and docs/COMPATIBILITY.md before use.
The legacy product was permanently closed after a supply-chain compromise. This tool migrates data; it does not remove malware. Use cleaned staging and complete backups. Deactivate old code without uninstalling it before migration.
Installation
Upload and activate per site. Open Tools -> Popup migration, preview a record, export it, review limitations, and migrate. Test existing pages and purge caches.
Faq
No. It registers the existing popup_anything shortcode only if there is no conflicting owner. Migrated IDs keep working while this plugin is active.
No. See the exact supported and blocked cases in the README. Unknown formats require a source-verified adapter.
No. It removes only the selected replacement. Original records remain untouched. Exports are per-popup backups, not full site backups. No JSON import is included.
Snapshots are retained deliberately. Export first, then request explicit database cleanup if wanted.
The plugin performs no server-side HTTP requests or analytics. Front-end image URLs retained from your content can load images from their original hosts. Admin preview blocks remote resources. JSON exports contain private data; store them securely.
This free plugin migrates one reviewed popup at a time. The optional Jibberish123 Popup Migration Batch paid add-on provides a separate screen for reviewing and migrating up to 20 supported records together. Individual migration, preview, export, rendering, and rollback remain available in this free plugin.
Reviews
Changelog
0.1.6
Adds reviewed source-resource, sanitized-preview and rendering hooks for trusted installed extensions, plus a unique identity for each newly created snapshot. Existing snapshots remain readable and all free migration functions remain available without an add-on.
0.1.5
Adds a link to the optional paid Batch add-on at the end of the plugin’s Tools page and in this readme. The Tools-page link is hidden when the add-on is active. Migration behavior is unchanged.
0.1.4
Uses a distinctive name and slug, moves static admin preview CSS into an enqueued stylesheet, and prefixes new public identifiers and snapshot storage. Earlier evaluation snapshots are imported once during activation.
0.1.3
Rejects malformed saved popup mappings before public rendering and removes a success message that could be forged with a URL parameter. The installable archive now contains only runtime files and operator documentation.
0.1.2
Adds visible-heading dialog names, deterministic forward/reverse focus cycling, conditional shortcode-driven assets, deferred script loading, block-theme viewport protection, cross-engine and forced-colors coverage, native Safari/VoiceOver evidence, PHP 8.0 with MariaDB 10.11 and MySQL 8.0 coverage, and verified load through 2,000 synthetic popups, upgrade, concurrency, and per-site multisite evidence.
0.1.1
Renamed to Click Popup Rescue. Added fail-closed database reads, simulated database-failure tests and synchronized concurrency coverage. Existing EPR snapshots are retained. Deactivate the earlier Essential Plugin Rescue build before activating this version.
0.1.0
Initial evaluation build under the earlier name Essential Plugin Rescue.
