Description

Lantis translates your whole website with AI and adds a language switcher to every page. This plugin connects your WordPress site to your Lantis account: paste your Lantis code once and you are done. No theme edits, no header plugins, no copy-pasting into template files.

What you get

  • AI translation into 60+ languages, updated automatically when your content changes.
  • A language switcher on every page, with the style and position you choose in Lantis.
  • A visual editor to fix any translation by hand, and a glossary for brand and product names.
  • Multilingual SEO when you connect your domain: one URL per language (/fr/, /de/…), hreflang tags, translated sitemaps and canonical URLs, so Google indexes every language.
  • Works with any theme and page builder (Gutenberg, Elementor, Divi, Bricks…) and with WooCommerce stores.

How it works

  1. Create a site in your Lantis dashboard and pick your languages.
  2. Install this plugin and go to Settings Lantis.
  3. Paste the code from Lantis (or just your site ID) and click Connect.

The plugin checks that the site exists and has languages before installing anything. Languages you add later in Lantis appear on your site automatically.

Pricing

Lantis is a paid service with a free start: your first 100 translations are free, no credit card needed. After that, plans start at $3.50 per language per month. See get-lantis.com/pricing. A Lantis account is required to use this plugin.

External services

This plugin connects your site to Lantis (https://get-lantis.com), a website translation service run by the plugin author. Without it the plugin does nothing.

  • When you click Connect or Refresh languages in Settings Lantis, the plugin requests https://proxy.get-lantis.com/api/config with your Lantis site ID, to check that the site exists and to read its original language and published languages. Nothing else is sent.
  • On every public page of your site, once connected, visitors’ browsers load the Lantis script from https://proxy.get-lantis.com/lantis.js. When a visitor chooses a language, the texts of the page they are viewing, with its title and meta description, are sent to Lantis to be translated, and the translation is returned and cached. The visitor’s chosen language is remembered in their browser’s local storage. Lantis does not set advertising or tracking cookies.

Lantis terms of service: https://get-lantis.com/terms
Lantis privacy policy: https://get-lantis.com/privacy

  1. In your WordPress admin go to Plugins Add New, search for “Lantis” and click Install Now, then Activate.
  2. Go to Settings Lantis.
  3. Paste the code from your Lantis dashboard (or your site ID) and click Connect.

If you had already pasted the Lantis code by hand (for example with a header-and-footer plugin or in your theme), remove it there so it is not loaded twice.

Do I need a Lantis account?

Yes. Lantis does the translation; this plugin installs it on your WordPress site. You can create an account for free and your first 100 translations are free.

Will it slow down my site?

The Lantis script is small, cached by browsers and served from a global network. Translations are cached, so each text is translated once.

Does it work with WooCommerce, Elementor or my theme?

Yes. Lantis translates the page your visitors see, so it works with any theme, page builder or plugin, including WooCommerce product and checkout pages.

Will Google index the translated pages?

Yes, when you connect your domain in Lantis. Each language gets its own URL with hreflang tags and a translated sitemap. Without connecting your domain, visitors still see your site in their language, but search engines only index the original.

Can I edit a translation?

Yes. Open the visual editor in your Lantis dashboard, click any text and change it. You can also add glossary terms so brand names are never translated.

How do I remove Lantis?

Go to Settings Lantis and click Remove Lantis, or deactivate the plugin. Deleting the plugin also deletes its settings.
