Requirements:
- An active LeadCaller account
- Your domain must be registered in your LeadCaller dashboard
External services
This plugin connects to the LeadCaller service to provide a communication widget (callback requests, live chat, and contact forms) on your WordPress site. The widget cannot function without this external service.
LeadCaller Widget Service
- What it is: A communication widget service provided by LeadCaller (https://www.leadcaller.com) that enables callback, chat, and messaging features on your website.
- What data is sent: When the widget loads, it sends the current page URL and domain to identify your site. A session ID and a persistent visitor ID (stored in the browser via localStorage) are sent to maintain the conversation state. When a visitor interacts with the widget (e.g., requests a callback, sends a chat message, or submits a form), the data they enter (such as name, phone number, email, and message) is sent to the service.
- When data is sent: The widget script is loaded from
https://widget.leadcaller.com/communication-widget.json every page load. Page URL and visitor IDs are sent when the widget initializes. Personal data is only sent when the visitor actively submits a form, requests a callback, or sends a chat message. - Service provider: LeadCaller, https://www.leadcaller.com
