This plugin adds a “Custom Alt Text” field to Elementor’s Image widget. It lets you override the default image alt text from the Media Library with your own alt text — improving accessibility and SEO.

  1. Upload the plugin folder to /wp-content/plugins/.

  4. Edit an Image widget in Elementor to see the new “Custom Alt Text” field under the Content tab.
Does this work with the free version of Elementor?

Yes, it works with the free Elementor plugin.

What happens if Elementor is not installed?

An admin notice will appear, telling you to install and activate Elementor.

Can I use dynamic data for the alt text?

Yes, the field supports Elementor’s dynamic tags system if you have Elementor Pro or compatible plugins.
