With this plugin you can add tools for Media

  • Add columns in Media Library: The new columns are File Size and MIME Type. The File Size column is sortable so you can find the files with the bigger size in an easy way.
  • Add featured image to post list and allow to add and change the featured image from post, custom post and page list.
  • Add the ability of customize every image link of a Image Gallery.

More features to come.

  1. Upload “media-files-tools” folder to the “/wp-content/plugins/” directory, or download through the “Plugins” menu in WordPress

  2. Activate the plugin through the “Plugins” menu in WordPress or Network activate for Multisite

  3. Under Media menu, go to File Tools and “Get Files Size”

  4. Updates are automatic. Click on “Upgrade Automatically” if prompted from the admin menu. If you ever have to manually upgrade, simply deactivate, uninstall, and repeat the installation steps with the new version.

Super Handy Tool

Was looking for a way to see what files were adding to the overall size of my clients site. This tool solved that. THANK YOU! The one part that tripped me up was going to Media > File Tools and clicking the "Get Files Size" button. Otherwise it did not provide me the sizes upon activating the plugin. Only thing that tripped me up. Otherwise, super handy tool! Keep up the good work 🙂

Great addon for the Media Library. Helps hugely if you need to clean out oversized files. Still seems to work without problems.

Run this and you can create and see featured images of layouts in the divi library

It's WP 4.8.1 and it still works perfect 🙂
