This plugin provides the ability for administrators to include in wordpress platform, save and show in a post,
the text widget or on a page, with a simple shortcode: [rssAnimated], the feed of any web service rss.
Administrator can set a minimum number of recent posts that wants to display to users,
set the profiles of the most popular social network, change colors and even choose three modes of animation,
including flow velocity and pause.

  1. Upload folder mediamaster-reader-rss to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
  3. Click on the link in the admin section of your WordPress site, “AnimatedRSS” and set the options, choosing the url of the feed, the number you wish to display to your readers, style and more others options.
  4. Copy and paste the shortcode [rssAnimated] in a post, page or widget-text where you want to show your feed.

SSL support?

I'm pretty new to WordPress, but I had to edit the code on this because I couldn't find any other way to fully secure my site. It seems the author decided to not properly support SSL. Calls to Google Fonts shouldn't use archaic, Google discouraged, http, instead of either https or protocol relative links. Removing "http" from the first line of jquery.newsviewer.css allows correct loading of the Fonts

Media Tabs

Having accidently updated to v1.1.1 because I like to have All my plugins up to date, and not have WP indicate 1 plugin still needs updating,.. and the security plugin sending me an email every day advising I needed to update a plugin...

And now I have the Dreaded Media Tabs on RSS that don't have media in the feed.

This Media Tabs needs to be a selectable option, not just implement it and be done with it.

Will be happy to up my vote if/when this gets fixed.
In the mean time, potential users will need to take note of this forceful feature.

This is version 1.0 of Media-RSS-Animated and Reader where you can:

Choose the url of the feed you want to show your users;
Animated Mode: scroller/rotate/paginate
Media Source: rss, twitter, facebook, flickr
Max Items of feeds;
Show/Hide Date;
Change style Colors;
Speed Animate;
Target Link;
Number per Page;
