Merqivio Shopping for WooCommerce connects a WooCommerce catalog to the Merqivio Shopping product-discovery service.

The store administrator explicitly chooses whether to connect the store. After connection, the plugin synchronizes published catalog information such as product title, URL, image, price, currency, stock status, SKU/GTIN when available, brand, category and a short description.

Draft, private, customer, order and payment data are not sent by the catalog synchronization.

The free plugin provides catalog synchronization, connection status and Merqivio Shopping listing statistics. Sponsored placements are an optional external commercial service and are not required for free product synchronization.

The plugin does not guarantee traffic, sales, ranking, advertising results or legal compliance.

This plugin relies on the Merqivio Shopping service to provide its core catalog-listing and listing-statistics functionality.

The plugin contacts Merqivio only after a store administrator explicitly chooses to connect the store. The initial connection sends the site URL, store name, base country, business email address, plugin version and an ownership challenge. Catalog synchronization then sends the published product data described above. Once connected, the plugin also requests listing statistics such as product count, impressions, clicks, CTR, advertising balance and active campaign count for the connected merchant.

No customer, order or payment data are sent as part of product synchronization.

Optional sponsored advertising is managed through the Merqivio merchant service. Paid advertising is separate from free catalog synchronization. Sponsored placements are labelled and advertising results are not guaranteed.

License and bundled assets

Plugin code and the bundled Merqivio dashboard logo are distributed with this plugin under GPLv2 or later. Merqivio brand and trademark rights are separate from the copyright licence.

  1. Install and activate WooCommerce.
  2. Upload and activate Merqivio Shopping for WooCommerce.
  3. Open WooCommerce > Merqivio Shopping.
  4. Review the data disclosure and explicitly connect the store.
  5. Start or wait for the first catalog synchronization.
What product data is sent?

Only published catalog data needed for Merqivio Shopping listings: product title, URL, image, price, currency, stock status, SKU/GTIN when available, brand, category and a short description.

Does the plugin send draft or private products?

No. Only published WooCommerce products are synchronized.

Does the plugin send customer, order or payment data?

No. Those data are not part of the catalog synchronization.

Do I have to buy advertising?

No. Sponsored placements are optional. Free catalog synchronization does not require an advertising purchase.

Does Merqivio guarantee visitors or sales?

No. Listing and advertising results depend on shopper demand, relevance, competition and other factors.

Can I disconnect the store?

Yes. Use the disconnect control in WooCommerce > Merqivio Shopping.
