.
What you get extra in Modula Pro when making a purchase:

- Instagram: Easily link your Instagram account to your Modula Gallery. With this connection you will then be able to import Instagram images directly in your gallery, enriching your website with your Instagram content.
- Defaults: Are you tired of going through each gallery and setting up the same settings repeatedly? Use the Defaults extension to define a basic set of options for your galleries, then simply add this to each new gallery you create. It saves a lot of time!
- Content Galleries: Take your gallery creation to the next level, with this add-on you will be able to generate a new gallery from your current posts, pages or custom post types. Even more, each gallery is synched with the original source, changes to the original content will also be reflected in the gallery.
- Bulk Edit: Easily edit multiple images at once, saving up precious configuration time.
- Video gallery: Use the Video extension to combine videos with images in your galleries. It works with YouTube, Vimeo, and self-hosted videos.
- Lightbox slideshow: Improve the user experience with your galleries by presenting the images in a stunning slideshow.
- Slider gallery: This helps display your gallery images in a new format type: slider. It can be synced with a thumbnail strip below it. You can switch it up by adding different elements to the slider: dots, arrows, a fade effect, infinite loop, center mode, and more.
- Gallery Filters: Apply one or more filters to your images to allow your website’s visitors to easily sort through your gallery.
- Albums: Let’s say you are going on a holiday trip and wish to document each day in a separate gallery. The Albums extension will allow you to group up all your holiday galleries in a single listing, enabling easy access to your precious memories.
- Multiple dynamic effects: Loading Effects, Hover effects and Zoom effects
- Watermark images: Protect your photos by adding custom watermarks.
- Right-Click Protection: Use it to prevent visitors from downloading your images with right-click protection. It also turns off keyboard shortcuts for downloading images.
- Speed UP: Using this extension, you can optimize your images by reducing their file sizes, resizing them through ShortPixel’s image optimization algorithms, and serving them from StackPath’s CDN (content delivery network). The result? A fast website without the high costs associated with it.
- Whitelabel: This extension helps you remove all mentions of Modula from the plugin and customize it with your own brand, logo, and text.

The plugin module is easy to use. Its operation is self-explanatory. The galleries can be easily integrated into WordPress.
Does a great job but...
By 80smixed on August 21, 2025
Does everything and more! Social icons are a bit out of alignment. The X icon is like 15-20px out of whack from the rest of the group when X is selected to be shared with on the front end. Or it could be that the other icons are out of alignment and X is correct. It's all in the code baby! Lol. Great job on a great plugin.
Seems to work but not without an hassle
By KP (kowproduction) on August 4, 2025
Interface is nice but there is just too much problems.
Im working on a brand new site without any other plugins:
- Lightbox doesn't work
- I can't change custom grid number of columns
- Gallery layout always get resetted when updating
- Modula widget inside site editor does not work either and I can only make it work through shortcode
- It seems like you can't use a modula gallery that don't take full width so it makes it impossible to use within a specific composition/layout
I thought I had found a great Gallery Plugin
By randerson801 on August 2, 2025
After using FooGallery for some 13 years I thought I had found one that would work "Most" of the time.
Instead after using the Migrate Function with the plugin and the add-in plugin to to my migrating I migrating 1189 galleries I realized it did a random sort of the images. Yes I suppose it would if I wanted to pay 100s of dollars in order to go pro. Oh did I mention I have a 66 site multi-site with up to 66 galleries per site with some 22000 images across the platform. I also add anywhere from 50 to 100 images per month to the site.
Unless you have 1 site stay away from this plugin.
Stay Away At All Costs

This plugin completely corrupted the page dedicated to the gallery, I had to recreate it FROM SCRATCH!
Deleted the plugin and never going back.
Perfect for me

I've tried several gallery plugins before stumbling upon Modula, and this is clearly the best so far.
I use it on every WordPress website I build.
Technically Limited and lacks customer service
By maniplus on May 6, 2025
We installed this plugin manage media within our WordPress environment. While it functioned adequately for handling native WordPress media, it offered no capability for integration with external storage platforms such as AWS S3 or Google Cloud, which ultimately made it incompatible with our evolving infrastructure requirements. This led to a transition to a more extensible solution.
After un-installing the plugin — including deactivation and deletion from all environments — we overlooked the manual cancellation of the auto-renewing license through their portal. A renewal transaction was processed, and we contacted support right away to request a refund and license cancellation. Unfortunately, our request was denied without exception.
The justification provided relied entirely on predetermined policy language, essentially stating that failure to cancel ahead of the renewal equates to continued acceptance of the subscription terms, regardless of whether the service is still in use or if contact was made immediately after the charge.
While technically within their rights, this rigid enforcement model offers no grace period, and disregards the common SaaS standard of good-faith customer service — especially in same-day cases where no benefit was received.
From a product perspective, this plugin may serve simple use cases within a native WordPress media workflow. However, websites requiring external storage integration or expecting responsive, customer-oriented billing practices may find the support model lacking.
Caution advised: This vendor operates under strict no-refund policies and appears unwilling to make case-by-case exceptions — even for immediate post-transaction requests. Be prepared for a transactional relationship, not a service-oriented one.
Нормально

В целом все нормально, пользуюсь пару лет. Не хватает адаптации grid под разные экраны. И недавно слетели описания картинок. Хотя, возможно, Modula здесь ни при чем
the best WordPress gallery plugin
By flowdee on March 11, 2025
Modula is hands down the best WordPress gallery plugin I’ve used. It’s super easy to set up, looks amazing, and loads fast without slowing down my site. I love how flexible the layouts are, and the hover effects and lightbox features add a nice touch. Plus, it works perfectly on mobile. If you need a gallery plugin that’s simple but powerful, this is the one to get.
