What the Service Is and Its Purpose

MontyPay is a payment service provider that securely processes online transactions made through this plugin. It is required to create payment sessions, initiate transactions, redirect users to secure checkout pages, and confirm payment status updates.

What Data Is Sent and When

When a user initiates a payment, the plugin communicates with MontyPay’s external APIs. The following data may be transmitted:

  • Transaction amount and currency
  • Order or reference ID
  • Customer details (name, email address, billing information, depending on configuration)
  • Technical data required to complete the transaction (e.g., transaction identifiers, callback URLs, session tokens)

This data is only sent when a payment is created, processed, or verified, and is essential for the payment functionality to work correctly. The plugin does not store or process card details. MontyPay’s secure infrastructure handles all sensitive payment information.

Method 1: Install via WordPress Dashboard

  1. Go to WordPress Dashboard Plugins Add New.
  2. Search for MontyPay.
  3. Click Install Now.
  4. Click Activate.

Method 2: Upload Manually

  1. Download the plugin ZIP file.
  2. Go to WordPress Dashboard Plugins Add New Upload Plugin.
  3. Select the ZIP file and click Install Now.
  4. Click Activate Plugin.
How do I get the merchant key and password?
