This plugin connects to the WhatsApp Business API (via Facebook Graph API) to enable WhatsApp messaging functionality.

Service Used: WhatsApp Business Cloud API (Facebook Graph API)

What data is sent:
* WhatsApp Business Phone Number ID
* WhatsApp recipient phone numbers
* Message content and templates
* Customer name (when available)

When data is sent:
* When customers click the chat widget to initiate a conversation
* When store sends messages (Pro version only for automation features)

User Consent:
* Customers must opt-in via checkout checkbox to receive marketing messages (Pro version)
* Chat widget usage implies consent for customer-initiated conversations

Note: You must have a Meta Business account and WhatsApp Business API access to use this plugin. The Lite version only provides the chat widget (customer-initiated). API integration for automated messages requires the Pro version.

  1. Upload the plugin files to /wp-content/plugins/whatswoo-lite/
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ screen
  3. Navigate to WhatsWoo > Settings to configure your chat widget
  4. Get your API credentials from Meta Business Manager
  5. Save and enjoy!

Yes, you need a Meta Business account with access to the Cloud API.
