Features

Branded Login Page Studio

  • Block-Based Layouts: Customize WordPress login, registration, and lost password screens with Centered Card, Split Screen, and Full-Bleed background architectures.
  • Live Interactive Preview: Real-time 1:1 preview canvas with desktop, tablet, and mobile viewport switchers.
  • Atmospheric Backdrops & Contrast: High-resolution photography, solid colors, and multi-stop gradients with configurable dark contrast overlays to guarantee WCAG AAA text readability.
  • Direct Click-to-Edit: Interactive canvas chips to jump directly to target block and atmosphere settings.
  • Native Form Safety: Built around WordPress core form actions — zero form replacement, ensuring full compatibility with 2FA, password resets, and security plugins.

Custom Login URL & Security Gateway

  • Custom Login Slug: Replace /wp-login.php with a private branded URL (e.g. /portal, /member-login) to mitigate automated brute-force attacks.
  • Direct 404 Blocking: Direct unauthenticated requests to wp-login.php return a standard 404 Not Found response.
  • Link Rewriting: Automatically rewrites all core-generated login, logout, and password reset email links.
  • Lockout Guardrails: Slug collision checks and an emergency NDP_DISABLE_LOGIN_URL constant override in wp-config.php.

Admin Notice Center & Nag Removal

  • Centralized Notice Hub: Intercept and organize intrusive third-party admin notices into a clean, dedicated triage dashboard.
  • Severity Categorization: Notice cards automatically organized by Error, Warning, Success, and Info tabs.
  • Interactive Details: Collapsible notice inspection panels with balanced HTML tag rendering.
  • Non-Destructive: Keeps WordPress core security, maintenance, and Nativus notifications accessible.

Guided Onboarding Wizard

  • 5-Step Setup: Fast, guided first-run experience for widget selection, color schemes, branding, login customizer, and admin experience.
  • Live Sticky Canvas: Instant feedback as settings and templates are selected.
  • Non-Blocking Handoff: Skip or complete anytime; all choices remain fully reversible under Settings.

  • Video Tutorial Management: Curate video training for clients (YouTube, Vimeo, MP4).
  • Responsive Density: Showcase tutorials directly on the dashboard with 3, 6, 9, or 12 cards per page.
  • Clean Modal Playback: Distraction-free video player modal.

Advanced Admin Customization

  • Custom Color Studio: Full hex control over admin sidebar, topbar, active menus, hover states, cards, and borders.
  • White-Label Agency Branding: Upload custom logos, emblems, support emails, help URLs, and agency credits.

Plugin Management & Visibility

  • User & Role-Based Visibility: Curate which plugins each user or role sees in the admin menu.

Debug & Diagnostic Logging

  • Diagnostic Logger: Filtered error logging with test logging and downloadable log archives.
  • UI Debugging: Built-in diagnostic tools to inspect active filters, constants, and settings states.

External Services

Nativus Dashboard can connect to external services only when an administrator configures or intentionally uses those features.

Google PageSpeed Insights

The optional PageSpeed Insights widget sends the configured test URL, selected strategy, locale, and administrator-provided API key to the Google PageSpeed Insights API to retrieve Lighthouse performance results. API key verification also uses the standard WordPress HTTP user agent, which may include the WordPress version and site URL. This feature requires an administrator-provided Google API key and can be disabled from the dashboard widget settings.

YouTube Tutorials

If an administrator adds a YouTube tutorial video, the tutorial interface may request YouTube thumbnail images and embedded player URLs for that video. The plugin sends the YouTube video ID in those administrator-configured thumbnail and embed requests.

The first onboarding step offers an introduction video from YouTube (video ID OCSdraDf8OU, using youtube-nocookie.com). Nothing is requested from YouTube until the administrator presses the play button.

Support Links

Support links are normal user-clicked links. The plugin does not automatically append site, WordPress, PHP, diagnostic, or license data to those links.

Bundled Libraries

Chart.js

Nativus Dashboard bundles Chart.js locally for WooCommerce dashboard charts. It is not loaded from a CDN or remote endpoint.

Library: Chart.js
Version: 4.5.1
License: MIT

Bundled license: assets/vendor/chartjs/LICENSE.md

Login template photographs

The Login Page Studio template photos are bundled with the plugin (assets/images/login-templates/) and are served from your own site. They are free-to-use images from Unsplash (used under the Unsplash License), resized and compressed. See docs/ASSET-LICENSES.md in the source repository.

Roadmap

Nativus Dashboard shows a small “Coming soon” preview of ideas under development (for example deeper store insights, content planning and extra login layouts). It is informational only: it collects no data, sends nothing from your site and does not switch off anything in the plugin. Plans can change. Updates for this plugin are delivered only through WordPress.org.

2.4.9

  • Fixed: the Login Page Studio no longer drops a whole panel when a block’s text contains quotes or backslashes. The “Creative Studio (Split Photography)” template now keeps its left-hand panel (logo, headline, feature list and testimonial) on the real login page, and custom CSS containing escape sequences is saved intact.

2.4.8

  • Accessibility: the colour scheme now guarantees WCAG AA contrast for every admin menu, submenu, hover, current, collapse-button, badge and admin-bar state in every scheme, with a visible keyboard focus ring and recoloured SVG menu icons.
  • Custom login URL: logged-out requests to /wp-admin/ now return a 404 instead of redirecting to the secret login URL, and the “session expired” login pop-up closes correctly after you sign in.
  • The minimum WordPress version is now 6.2.
  • The colour scheme now styles only Nativus Dashboard screens by default. A new setting, “Also apply this scheme to the WordPress admin menu and admin bar on every screen”, is off unless you turn it on (Settings > Admin UI, or during onboarding). Admin-bar enhancements, the media-modal tweak and the global admin script follow the same setting.
  • Colour settings are validated before they are used in generated CSS, and inline-script data is encoded safely.
  • Removed the unused legacy WPCode script; unprefixed video meta keys are migrated to prefixed keys; both custom tables are created on activation.
  • WooCommerce Order Insights now analyse your own store data with no external service: comparison with the previous period, run rate, best weekday, top products, repeat customers, refunds, coupon reliance, fulfillment backlog, failed orders and stock health, each with a next step. Removed the fixed benchmark and simulated forecast.
  • The email waitlist and pricing/comparison content were removed; “Coming soon” is now an informational roadmap preview.
  • The onboarding introduction video loads from YouTube only after the administrator presses play and shows a local cover image.
  • Unified the header action button styling across Dashboard, Settings, Tutorials and Updates pages.
  • Eliminated 100% of inline script and style tags across all PHP templates and widgets to satisfy WordPress.org automated AST scanner standards.
  • Extracted PageSpeed widget styles and scripts into standalone files enqueued with wp_enqueue_style, wp_enqueue_script, and wp_localize_script.
  • Replaced all inline HTML event handlers (onclick, onload) in PHP templates with unobtrusive event listeners and data attributes.
  • Migrated functions, classes, cron hooks, transients, and AJAX handlers to 4-character prefix nativus_dashboard_ with backwards-compatible aliases.
  • Hardened database queries in notification handlers with prepared statements and enforced strict input sanitization.
  • Improved widget setting defaults and validation during configuration saves.
  • Decoupled onboarding interface styling from main settings to prevent layout issues.
  • Resolved offset warning messages in admin menu filters during menu ordering.
  • Reorganized style settings and templates for better settings layout.
  • Refined styles for footer text/links, settings navigation items, checkbox background color, and tutorial video cards.
  • Polished Light Mode submenu styling specificity.
  • Restored active sidebar menu indicator lines for all color schemes.
  • Corrected custom color picker wiring across Settings, Live Preview, and Onboarding layouts.
  • Simplified custom color controls and pickers for better user interface layout.
  • Made the custom-scheme Topbar Background a solid color for a predictable layout matching the admin bar.
  • Fixed container alignment on Notifications and User Permissions pages so headers and footers stretch edge-to-edge.
  • Restored content wrapper padding on Documentation & Agency Guide page.
  • Enforced scoped box-sizing and full-width containment across all dashboard settings panels.
  • Added mutual subnav switching between Side Brand Showcase and Main Form Card in Login Customizer.
  • Added Branded Login Page Studio with live preview, customizable card layouts, and background atmosphere controls.
  • Added Custom Login URL rewrite masking with lockout guardrails and emergency recovery constant.
  • Added brand logo upload support in Onboarding with dynamic preview and corner clipping.
  • Improved WCAG 2.1 AA contrast compliance across all 7 color schemes for active, hover, and submenu states.
  • Refactored eCommerce AI Insight and Multicurrency settings with Coming Soon badges and feature roadmap modals.
  • Hardened AJAX request handling, nonce verification, and capability checks across all endpoints.
  • Updated compatibility header to WordPress 7.1 and removed tested-up-to from plugin PHP header.
  • Resolved Plugin Check automated scanner warnings across database queries, output escaping, and file operations.

2.4.7

  • Improved WooCommerce AI Insight free output with clearer ecommerce recommendations.
  • Added a roadmap preview popup for upcoming store insights.
  • Refined AI popup button styling to keep the dashboard interface consistent.
  • Replaced bundled motivation copy with original dashboard-focused messages.
  • Expanded external service and bundled asset license documentation for repository review.
  • Removed redundant bundled Dashicons font copies and now rely on WordPress core Dashicons.
  • Added new-tab link hardening across dashboard support and documentation links.
  • Standardized administrative headers across all pages with a centralized add-on action container.
  • Enforced a single add-on information path by removing redundant promotional buttons and grids from internal tab templates.
  • Hardened UI consistency across Settings, Updates, Tutorials, Notifications, and User Permission pages.
  • Purged legacy promotional buttons and comparison tables to improve interface clarity and compliance.
  • Tightened WooCommerce chart loading so missing Chart.js assets are surfaced instead of hidden by substitute rendering.
  • Compacted WooCommerce AI Insight guidance behind an explicit expand control.
  • Added a visual overall-impact meter to plugin performance details and diversified Daily Motivation author avatar colors.
  • Limited the add-on exploration header action to the primary dashboard/settings discovery surfaces.
