Description

newsAI MCP Connector lets an authorized administrator or editor connect a WordPress site to the newsAI dashboard. The plugin exposes a scoped MCP endpoint protected by OAuth 2.1 Authorization Code with PKCE.

Supported operations include post creation and editing, categories, tags, authors, statuses, featured images, trash and restore. Delete operations move posts to the WordPress trash and never permanently delete them.

External service

This plugin connects to the newsAI service at https://api.newsai.com.tr when a user explicitly approves a connection. During authorization, a short-lived OAuth authorization code is sent to newsAI. After connection, newsAI sends the post data and image URLs selected by the user to this WordPress site. The plugin does not send telemetry.

Installation

Upload the newsai-connector folder to /wp-content/plugins/ or install it from WordPress.org.
Activate newsAI MCP Connector.
In the newsAI dashboard, add the WordPress site and click Connect.
Sign in to WordPress as an administrator or editor and approve the requested permissions.

Faq

Does the plugin permanently delete posts?

No. Delete operations move posts to the WordPress trash, where they can be restored.

Can any MCP client connect?

No. Version 1.0 accepts only the official newsAI client and callback address.

How is the plugin updated?

Only through the standard WordPress.org updater. The plugin never downloads executable PHP code from newsAI.
