Uploading in WordPress Dashboard

  1. Navigate to the ‘Add New’ in the plugins dashboard
  2. Navigate to the ‘Upload’ area
  3. Select notice-bar.zip from your computer
  4. Click ‘Install Now’
  5. Activate the plugin in the Plugin dashboard

Using FTP

  1. Download notice-bar.zip
  2. Extract the notice-bar directory to your computer
  3. Upload the notice-bar directory to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
  4. Activate the plugin in the Plugin dashboard

Doesnt show for non-logged in users

Doesnt show unless users are logged in...worthless.

Created a nice bar but it covered the site title and banner

Notice Bar created a nice eye catching banner but for my site it covered the entire site title and logo and there didn't seem to be any way to change that.

Nice, but pro version missing some basic functions for the price

It's a nice simple way to get a notice up quick, but was disappointed to pay for the pro-version and find it to be missing a couple of functions I would have really basic. It needs an HTML section. I should be able to make a quick two line notice, with a header in a larger font. It needs a cookies option. If someone closes it, it really doesn't need to keep popping up every time they navigate to a new page.

EXCELLENT PLUGIN... Fails on Safari

This is a fantastic plugin that works AWESOME on Chrome and Firefox but FAILS miserably in Safari... this needs to be fixed ASAP! There are a TON of users, namely iOS users, who use Safari... it's a major browser! Thus, this plugin is NOT cross platform compatible and needs to be. Once this is fixed, I will rate as "5" stars as it will have earned it.

Very simple but very effective. Just a good honest plugin that does what it says and just works. The only feature I would add would be scheduling or at least an option to have it auto disable at a set date and time.

This is a great little tool! Nothing fancy - no horizontal scrolling, sidebar widgets or anything else like that.

Perfect for just your basic site-wide, dismissable notice. All elements have CSS classes that you can style, so it's a breeze to customize the look.

If you have a fixed header area (like with the Divi theme), you will want to adjust the z-index of the announcement container so that it will sit on top of the header area.

Nice work and kudos for a job well done. 🙂

Very easy to customize and use plugin. If developer put a preview option, in-build CSS support and add more buttons to click - it will be even better. Thanks!
