Are you frustrated by the lack of customization options in default Category widget in WordPress? Then this plugin is for you. Works in similar fashion but with several customization options. Cheers !

Using The WordPress Dashboard

  1. Navigate to the ‘Add New’ Plugin Dashboard
  2. Select ‘ns-category-widget.zip’ from your computer
  3. Install
  4. Activate the plugin on the WordPress Plugin Dashboard
  5. Place the ‘NS Category Widget’ into a Widget area through the ‘Appearance -> Widgets’ menu in WordPress.

Using FTP

  1. Extract ‘ns-category-widget.zip’ to your computer
  2. Upload the ‘ns-category-widget’ directory to your ‘/wp-content/plugins/’ directory
  3. Activate the plugin on the WordPress Plugins dashboard
  4. Place the ‘NS Category Widget’ into a Widget area through the ‘Appearance -> Widgets’ menu in WordPress.

Is only Category is supported in listing?

You can list Category as well as Custom Taxonomy also.

Thanks first!

this is the best WordPress plugin for custom taxonomy listing, it works well in the sidebar.
You should not miss this extension, if you have a lot of custom categories with multilevel hierarchical.
With this tool, users need not add the taxonomy terms to a new menu and sort it manually,
Just drag the NS category widget to the sidebar, and select the one you like, Finish the configuration, and then everything is perfect!
it would be better if the author could offer more options like the "line height, text-transform, etc.", although we can reach it by the custom CSS.

My go to Category Widget. Simple, clean and fast.
