OATS Africa FSE Theme Blocks provides the editorial Gutenberg blocks (hero, product card,
journal grid, testimonials, team grid, newsletter signup, and more) used throughout the OATS
Nova theme, along with the WooCommerce cart icon, cart drawer, and checkout shortcodes that
support it.

This plugin is designed as a companion to the OATS Nova theme. The blocks themselves will work
with any block theme, though their default styling is tuned to match OATS Nova’s editorial
visual style.

Note: the product, cart, and checkout features require WooCommerce to be active. The content
blocks (hero, journal grid, testimonials, team grid, etc.) work independently of WooCommerce.

  1. Upload the plugin files to the /wp-content/plugins/oats-africa-fse-theme-blocks directory,
    or install the plugin directly through the WordPress Plugins screen.
  2. Activate the plugin through the “Plugins” screen in WordPress.
  3. Find the blocks under the “OATS” category in the block inserter.
Does this plugin require the OATS Nova theme?

No. The blocks and shortcodes work with any theme, though they’re styled to match OATS Nova.

Does this plugin require WooCommerce?

Only for the product-related blocks and the cart/checkout shortcodes. Every other block works
without it.
