  1. Upload the optisize folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress.
  3. The plugin will immediately start optimizing new uploads.
  4. For existing images, go to the Optisize settings page to start a bulk conversion.
Does it delete original images?

Yes, to save server space, the plugin replaces the original JPG/PNG files with their WebP counterparts.

Can I disable it temporarily?

Yes, there is a toggle in the Media Library to quickly turn the automatic conversion on or off.

Does it support GIFs?

Currently, Optisize supports JPEG and PNG files.
