Requirements

  • PHP 8.1 or higher
  • WordPress 6.6 or higher
  • WooCommerce (current stable version)
  1. Upload the plugin files to /wp-content/plugins/parihar-importer-for-woocommerce/ or install through the WordPress plugins screen.
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ screen in WordPress.
  3. Ensure WooCommerce is installed and active.
  4. Navigate to Products > Product Import/Export to start using the plugin.

Does this plugin require WooCommerce?

Yes, WooCommerce must be installed and active.

What CSV format is supported?

The plugin supports CSV files with comma, semicolon, tab, or pipe delimiters. UTF-8 and UTF-8 BOM encodings are supported.

Can I import XML files?

Yes. Upload an XML file whose root element is <products>, containing one <product> element per product with child elements such as <id/>, <name/>, <sku/>, <price/>, <description/>, <category/>, <quantity/>, and <status/>. Elements are auto-mapped to WooCommerce product fields during preview.

Can I import variable products with variations?

Yes, the plugin fully supports variable products and their variations. Parent products and variations can be imported in the same CSV file.

Is there a size limit for CSV files?

The default maximum file size is 100MB, but this can be adjusted in the plugin settings.

Can I save and reuse field mappings?

Yes, you can save field mappings and load them for future imports.

Does the plugin process large files in the background?

Yes, files with more than 100 rows are processed in the background using Action Scheduler or WordPress cron.
