Pillark – Pillar & SEO Cluster Internal Linking

Pillark gives you a clear overview of your pillar pages and the content clusters built around them, plus the internal-linking tools to keep that structure healthy. Pick your Pillar pages, and Pillark automatically maps which posts link to them, scores each cluster’s structure, and flags what’s missing.

Everything runs inside your own WordPress admin. The plugin reads your existing posts and pages, builds an internal link map, and reports on the parts of onsite SEO that are easy to overlook.

Pillark is built and maintained by Lasse Enggaard, a Danish SEO specialist and web developer working with technical SEO and internal linking. He is a co-owner of the Danish web agency Webro and has worked with search since 2015. Pillark came out of that work rather than a product roadmap: the same internal linking audit, done by hand one client site at a time, until it was worth writing down properly. What it does

• Clusters – choose your Pillar pages and see each cluster on one screen. Every supporting page is a card showing whether the link runs both ways, one way, or not at all.
• Internal link profile – one table covering every published page and post: internal links in and out split by post type, the anchor text used most often to link in, external links, dead internal links, last modified date and images.
• Orphan detection – pages that receive no incoming internal links at all, marked in every row and available as a filter.
• Dead link detection – internal links pointing at pages that no longer exist, checked against posts, pages, archives and taxonomies so the count can be trusted.
• Linking opportunities – pages that mention another page by name without linking to it. The words are already written; only the link is missing.
• Keyword cannibalization – posts competing for the same focus keyword.
• Duplicate anchors – identical anchor texts pointing to different URLs.
• Manual cluster members – attach an existing page to a cluster by hand while restructuring, before the links between them exist.

Works with Yoast SEO

The keyword cannibalization report uses Yoast SEO’s focus keyword data, and the per-Pillar cluster score includes Yoast’s SEO title, meta description and focus keyword as one of its signals when Yoast is active. Neither is required — the internal link analysis, cluster overview and other tools all work without Yoast installed. This is an independent plugin and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Yoast.

1. Upload the pillark folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory, or install the plugin through the WordPress plugins screen directly.
2. Activate the plugin through the “Plugins” screen in WordPress.
3. Open the “Pillark” menu item in the admin sidebar — it opens straight to the Clusters overview.
