Popup Trigger URL for Elementor Pro

by sukiwp

Version: 1.0.5

Download
Description

This plugin allows you to trigger any Elementor Pro’s popup using links at anywhere, even outside the Elementor’s content.

Usage examples

  • Open a popup using a link inside Gutenberg or Classic Editor.
  • Open a popup using a link inside a widget.
  • Open a popup from Menus (using Custom Link).
  • etc.

How it works

  1. Install this plugin and make sure you have created your popup using Elementor and Elementor Pro.
  2. Go to Templates > Popups and click the Show URLs button of the popup you want to show.
  3. Copy the URL of the trigger type you chose (open and toggle is the most common type).
  4. Paste the URL on any link that you want to use to trigger the popup (e.g. Custom Link on your Menus).
  5. Done! Now you can open your popup from outside Elementor’s content.

Disclaimer

  • This plugin only reveals the trigger URLs that are originally generated by Elementor Pro itself. This plugin doesn’t use any other custom method to trigger your popup.
  • The trigger URLs only work with <a> tag. This plugin uses the same Elementor’s Javascript which only detects link in <a> tag.

“Not working, my popup doesn’t show”

  • Please check if the popup can be triggered using Elementor’s Dynamic Action link. If it can’t be triggered, then there must be something wrong in your popup configuration, not the trigger URL from our plugin.
  • Please make sure that you have properly set the popup’s “Display Conditions”. Otherwise, your popup won’t show up.
  • Please make sure that you copied the trigger URL correctly into your link.
  • Please check if there is javascript error that might be caused by other plugins (check your browser’s Developer Tools > Console).

Can I use this plugin without Elementor Pro?

No, the popup feature is only available on Elementor Pro version. Therefore Elementor Pro is required.

Just What I Needed

Great plugin. We want to use links in our emails that will trigger a popup when some clicks and this plugin is perfect for getting those links. I'm really shocked that Elementor doesn't offer this. Good thing there are people out there creating plugins like this.

It is perfect for when we need to open a popup, for example, using any widget with a link option. Congratulations to the developers and thanks for this excellent tool.

Issue fixed - dynamic lightbox on front-end

By happyatom on June 16, 2020

Update Issue described below was caused by Elementor - this plugin was updated very quickly to fix the issue. Original I have a dynamic video lightbox, triggered by clicking on an icon box. The video appears in the bottom corner, mostly off-screen. Deactivating this plugin fixed the issue.

It's created problems

By sunsunflower on June 15, 2020

Unfortunately, the plug-in on mobile devices does not work adequately - the first time a popup is clicked, it opens randomly, and not the one that should. And an even bigger problem - removing the plugin does not solve the problem, the chaos in opening popup still remains. I had to restore the site from backup

Plugin excelente

By 0.618 (0618) on March 22, 2020

But after latest updates occurred in March, 20-2020 and endless tweaks, the plugin don't work anyways properly. This review might be changed after proper updating, where all existent bugs and issues will be resolved. Sorry!

Es excelente!

Podrás obtener un URL para abrir y otro URL para cerrar cualquier Popup que hayas creado con Elementor, así que ya te imaginarás el espectro de posibilidades que se te abren con esta funcionalidad. --- (You'll be able to get a URL to open and a URL to close any Popup that you've created with Elementor, so you can imagine the specter of posibilites that will open to you with this functionality) --- A pesar de que el plugin no ha sido actualizado desde hace 11 meses, en los 3 sitios web donde lo he implementado no he tenido ningún problema de compatibilidad. Espero que Suki WordPress Theme no abandone el plugin y le haga una actualzación pronto, o, en el mejor de los casos, que el equipo de Elementor incorpore esta funcionalidad a Elementor Pro, ya que es muy útil y necesaria. --- (Even though the plugin hasn't been updated for more than 11 months, in the 3 websites were I've installed it I haven't dealt with incompatibility issues. I hope Suki WordPress Theme will not abandon the plugin and release an update soon, or, in the best scenario, that the Elementor team takes note of this plugin and implements its functionality in the next Elementor Pro update, given that it's very useful and necessary) --- Mil gracias por el trabajo realizado por Suki WordPress Theme. --- (Thank you Suki WordPress Theme for the job you've done) ---
