Hooks & Filters

The plugin provides hooks and filters for developers:

  • pwcp_before_calculator_render – Runs before calculator is rendered
  • pwcp_after_calculator_render – Runs after calculator is rendered
  • pwcp_calculated_price – Filter the calculated price
  • pwcp_field_value – Filter field values before calculation
  • pwcp_manage_calculators_cap – Change capability required to manage calculators

Template Override

You can override plugin templates by copying them to your theme:
wp-content/themes/your-theme/pricewise-calculator-pro/

Privacy Policy

PriceWise Calculator Pro does not collect or store any personal data from your website visitors. All calculations are performed on your server and no data is sent to external services.

Minimum Requirements

  • WordPress 5.8 or greater
  • PHP version 7.4 or greater
  • WooCommerce 5.0 or greater (for full functionality)
  • MySQL version 5.6 or greater

Automatic Installation

  1. Log in to your WordPress dashboard
  2. Navigate to Plugins > Add New
  3. Search for “PriceWise Calculator Pro”
  4. Click “Install Now” and then “Activate”

Manual Installation

  1. Download the plugin zip file
  2. Log in to your WordPress dashboard
  3. Navigate to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin
  4. Choose the downloaded zip file and click “Install Now”
  5. After installation, click “Activate Plugin”

After Activation

  1. Go to Calculators > Add New
  2. Set calculator name and description
  3. Add number input fields in the Fields tab
  4. Configure your pricing formula in the Formula tab
  5. Set status to “Active” in Settings tab
  6. Your calculator will automatically appear on all WooCommerce products

Critical Setup Requirements

For your calculator to display properly:

  • Your calculator MUST have at least 1 field added – Empty calculators won’t display
  • Your WooCommerce product MUST have a regular price set – Products without prices won’t show calculators

Product-specific and category assignment features are available in the Premium version. The free version uses global assignment (one calculator for all products).

Does this work with WooCommerce?

Yes! The plugin is specifically designed for WooCommerce integration. Both free and premium versions work seamlessly with WooCommerce products and shopping cart.

Is the free version fully functional?

Absolutely! The free version provides everything you need for basic number-based calculators with global assignment. It’s not a trial – you can use it indefinitely.

Can I create multiple calculators in the free version?

You can create multiple calculators, but only one can be active at a time since free version only supports global assignment.

How do I create a pricing formula?

Use curly braces around your field keys in formulas. For example:
* Formula: (10 + {quantity}) * {measurement}
* This multiplies the sum of base price (10) plus quantity by the measurement value

Why isn’t my calculator showing on the product page?

Check these two critical requirements:
1. Your calculator MUST have at least one field added in the Fields tab
2. Your WooCommerce product MUST have a regular price set

Yes! The plugin is fully translation-ready and includes a .pot file for easy translation into any language.
